I too, just came online about an hour ago so I found it mysterious looking and a bit confused on what it was.

But I don't think there's a father.
She's a spirit so if she wanted to reproduce or felt the need too, she'd be able to because she's a spirit.
The best explanation I can give is related to the Okami games.

Amaterasu gave birth to her son Chibiterasu without there being a father.
Because she's a Sun Goddess, if she wanted a child, she I guess she made herself pregnant by her God powers.

That's just my theory though.
Maybe there was a father.
