I apologize for the confusing-ness of it. Hopefully the second part will make it better! :3
@GigglePie: That. Story. Is. Amazing. <3● e r h y n ● wrote:Eyes full of triumph, the boy left his seat, absentmindedly humming a few bars of the song that had just been finished. As he slipped out the door, the adults in the lobby, milling around for the opening of the doors, nodded delightedly at him. It was always good to see new blood coming in.
Not so much new blood going out.
But I digress.
The boy smirked, sliding out into the chilled night. Shoving his hands into the pockets of his jacket, wherever it had come from, he moved at an easy pace down the sidewalk, still humming the same section of that song. Gradually, so one may not even notice, the song began to change, sliding seamlessly into another. Eyes slipping closed, he seemed to dance between the pockets of light, cast by old, outdated streetlamps. He turned the corner, laughing; the music didn't stop. Another laugh, boyish and intoxicating, soared through the air, taking wing as he stepped through the door.
What happened to your f a n t a s y...
The young man sighed, sliding down the inside of his apartment door, until at last he came to rest on the floor. Rubbing his eyes, he groaned. The concert, after four more pieces and two encores, was finally over. He was exhausted, but the truth of the matter rushed over him: there would be no sleeping this night.
Standing shakily, he made his way towards the kitchen, intent on fixing himself a pot of coffee large enough to keep awake well into the morrow. Halfway there, he stopped, convinced he had heard something, like a song, outside his window. The smarter part of his mind told him to make the coffee and shut whatever-it-was up, but since when had he listened to common sense? Instead, he walked to his window; oh, who was he fooling: he ran.
Eyes straining, he looked out into the night, searching for whatever it had to show him. Nothing moved, as if the world itself was holding its breath. Satisfied, the man turned; he still needed that coffee, after all.
The darkness came without warning, stopping him dead in the middle of his kitchen as all of his senses shut down. Even as it carried him off, he fought, trying to stay here in this realm. A laugh, soaring on the night sky like a bird, echoed through his mind; it had already won this battle earlier.
The boy stood in the middle of a clearing, smiling at the man as he walked towards him. The man scowled.
'I swore I'd never come back to this place.'
The boy snorted, amusement plain on his face.
'You always did belong to Wonderland.'
...did you T e a r it down for me?
I think I made it even more confusing...oops.
