I'm not too great at playing detective, but it shares the same toe markings as her past staff dogs.





The hint: "My staff dog this year as at least one thing in common with or similar to each of my past staff pets."

Thoughts anyone?

To add on to my theory regarding the new hint... This pup has an edited tail. Not just because it's a bob-- It looks to be a little less fluffy and possibly pointed further upward? But the ears are unedited.

I do think people may be onto something with this pup being Solloby's and I originally did think of what you just said with the new hint but I also thought of this staff pup of theirs as well:

Because the ears were unedited in the puppy stage and the tail is completely different this year. I could see it being either this pup their referring to or the adult from last year, although, the pup from last year had the same ears and tail:

But, either way, I do see this pup fitting. Not only does it have the colored toes that Solloby seems to like to use but those little specks on it also remind me of their 2011 staff dog, the purple one, while the bob tail matches with last years and the ears, right now anyway, are the same ones used for the pups for the past two years. xP Solloby's ears have always seemed to change quite a bit in their adult form, though, and they've proven they can be tricky with the tail as well when looking at their 2012 staff dog. xD

The issue, though, is that no unclaimed pup has crimped ears and a long tail. There's one pup with one crimped ear and 3 long tails, one with one crimped ear and a bobbed tail, and one with two crimped ears and a bobbed (and somewhat feathery) tail. xP Although, Saikiyo's hint does say that their dog has crimped ears and a long tail. I could easily see this owl looking one getting a longer tail as an adult, though, since it does seem to be based on an owl or some other kind of bird and they obviously have at least a bit longer tail than the pup has. xD

So maybe this one is actually Saikiyo's? ;P

Then again, it looks nothing like a puppet and doesn't even look like that's where the design started at. It also doesn't look the slightest bit angry like the one everyone is guessing does. So maybe the other one above is just their own lineart for crimped ears. xD

I'm really confused about the word 'crimped' as English is not my mothertongue. When the hint came out, I looked it up and in my language the most common translation is indeed what has been shown here with real crimped dog ears: the hair on dog ears being curled/having frizzles in it.
Another translation would be folded.
So - with both translations I'm still as confused as before, because it fits both the dog everyone thinks is Saikiyos as well as the other ears now.

I'm not gonna guess which one is Saikiyos, too much work :p

i just noticed something pretty neat:

The hair on the pup reminds me of the shima's, and the style/facial expression reminds me more of the shark staff(more so in its puppy stage)
i know it probably doesn't mean anything but i connected those two together in my brain somehow heh ^^;

not quite sure what it is exactly, though. the face isn't quite horse-ish and it has that weird thing going on on its back.

Thinking on crimped ears, this staff pet from '12 seems to fit it, so maybe that gives people an idea?
