(@Fantasitc Ninja- Beautiful. All I can say.)

Ashley(F) and Christopher(M)
Ashley blew a puff of air upwards, blowing a stray tuft of dirty blonde hair flopping along with the caps hanging tassle. Her muscles were aching from the lack of movement as family members obsessively taking pictures, Mom trying to not burst into tears, Dad clapping her constantly on the back. It was all too much.
The girl turned her head slightly to catch the gaze of her mother, recieving annoyed clucks from the photo takers. "If I don't stop smiling," She complained with a slight teasing tone, "My face'll fall off!" It recieved an echoing chuckle from the relatives.
"I know, hun." Her mother replied with a light smile. It seemed as if she were happy that her little girl was graduating. But her watery eyes betrayed her. "But my baby is just growin-" Her voice broke, and Ashley broke from her statue-like stance to hug her.
"It's ok..." She mumbled into her ear. "I'll always be your baby girl."
A sudden honk broke the Halmark moment. Ashley's dad leaned out the window, his graying head shining lightly in the dimming sun. "Were going to be late! Ash, Chris won't be happy if you miss it!" This made the teen blush as she hurried, quickly, into her family car.

Christopher stood at the entrance into his school. He thought slightly of all the memories here, but he pushed them away. It was all just so sad. The best days were over. Everything would change from here on out. He'd been talking to all his friends for awhile now, but there was only one voice he wanted to hear. Ashes. She'd been with him for three years now, ad se'd become his whole world.
The pale boy looked up in attention as the principle started calling them to line. He quickly trotted next to his walking buddy, an old friend named Jerika, who smiled brightly. She mouthed a secret passing between the two of them, and he nodded with a smile. Ready. It was the moment the music started playing that Ashley tripped into the waiting room, tripping over her robe. That was one thing Chris loved about her. Ash didn't care about what people thought.
Mrs. Zicks, his favorite Math teacher, handed him a candle with a wink. The boy nodded back, hand absentmindedly tapping the inside of his robe pocket. Jerika's such a big mouth.

The walk down the carpet had to be the hardest thing for Ashley. The small space, the slow pace, and the consistant fear of tripping and burning down the school. But she made it to tose hard plastic chairs. And then there was more waiting, causing more muscles to bunch up. But it was ok. Chris was right in front of her.
She leaned forward, whispering over the droning speeches from coaches and teahcers. "Are you excited?"
Chris smiled. "Definately." He glanced around, making sure everyone was occupied. Then he whispered even lower, "I can't have my diploma till afterwards. They think I'll do something to interupt."
Ashley giggled, recieving a chorus of, "Shhh!"'s from multiple people. "Better get quiet," Jerika mumbled under her breath, not to attract attention. "Diplomas are about to be announced.
_______________________________________________________________________________________
"Christopher Allen!" Thunderous applause erupted from the crowd. In this small town, everyone knew everyone, and almost everything. Like that he was Valedvictorian. He grinned, strutting across the stage. Giggles came from the girls sitting otherwise quietly. The principle rolled his eyes with a whole-hearted smile. As he got to the table that held everyone else's diploma, he looked at the principle. He rolled his eyes before shaking the teen's hand. Chris then strutted back, now impatient for his speech.
_______________________________________________________________________________________
"Ashley Summers!" Claps echoed in the auditorium. The small girl scurried across the hardwood floor, eyes on the ground. She'd never liked being in front of big crowds. She hurriedly grabbed her diploma, hugged the principle, and went back to her seat. That was not fun...

It was here, after what seemed like enternity. His speech. Chris ran his fingers through his dark brown hair, sighing nervously. What he said would affect him for the rest of his life. So he strode up to the podium, and gazed into the dark faces of the hushed crowd.
He took a deep breath before beginning. "I know your all expecting me to pull a prank." Laughter rippled the silence. "But I'm not. I'm getting to old to prank constantly. I need to grow up, and this is the key to everyone's adult..itude. We've all been kids for seventeen, eighteen years now. Some of us have been together for years. And that's great. But now, we got to go out, find jobs, get married, have kids. It isn't all fun and games anymore." The boy looked over at Jer, who gave him a secret thumbs up. The signal.
Christopher took another deep breath before saying, "I'm giving you this speech because I excelled in my classes, did volunteer work etc. But I couldn't have done it without my long time girlfriend, Ashley." A quick glance revealed a surprised, blushing blonde. He waved his hand for her to come up. She obliged, slowly, but was soon at his side. He then took her hands in his.
"I've known her since I was five, been in love the whole time. She helped me not fail school, and was always there for me." This was it. "And now I always want to be there for her." Chris slipped his hand into his pocket and pulled the velvet box from it. He got on one knee and opened the box, revealing a sparkling diamond. Gasps and murmurs were heard. But he heard nothing, wanting to finish.
Ashley's hand shot to her mouth, stifling a suprised cry. He's kidding... Tears sprung to her blue eyes. "Ashley Marie Summers, you've become my world. And I always want to live in it. Will you marry me?"
Ashley let out a sob before nodding, tears now rolling down her cheeks. "I will." She said shakely, leaning down to hug him tight. "I will, Christopher." Cheers came from the crowd, whoops and hollers loud in the small space, ceremony forgotten.
Jerika chuckled before leaning over to the principal. "He found a way to interrupt it."
(Not the best. Just wanted to practice humans for the couple I hope to get.)

Joe Dimaggio x Mrs. RobinsonWhere have you gone, Joe DiMaggio?
Our nation turns its lonely eyes to you.
What's that you say, Mrs. Robinson?
Joltin' Joe has left and gone away.
