In fact, nothing bad will happen if she trades it. Though I agree with you, you shouldn´t trade pound pets. Pound page itself says that you shouldn´t trade them.

You are allowed to trade Pound Pets. Its advisable you don't trade them, because you rescued them. I've traded Pound pets before.

I think that is a little unfair to you, personally. But I don't know -- White July dogs are pretty rare.
