You mean why they have whiskers? The artist just decided to add noticeable whiskers on 'em.

Though dogs do actually have whiskers. Usually they're not very noticable but some dogs have 'em pretty long

Maybe one of them will revert into a puppy? Or we could have the nightmare of the dog getting the same amount of splits of this horse.
