This litter has one of my favorite color palletes and there are so many designs I love, but ultimately this is my favorite one. He's just perfect <3

I quite like how this pallete translated into pets, and I love several of them. But my favorite has to be candy undead dragon boy, it's just so deliciously well made, mixing creepy and cute, I just love it.

My second favorite pet of the whole site! Accurate angel inspired designs are just awesome.

Moon phases, the occult, enlightenment, dark blues and gold, it's a recipe to a great design!

Not my favorite color palette for this litter, but overall I love this pet the most, because the colors actually work for its unique design. It's just so pretty!

So far, my favorite design of the 2022 staff litter is the jellyfish pup, it just works so well with the pallete and it's so creative!

2009

Yep. Shima Longtail. Just so aesthetically pleasing, the lil mohawk and tail are simultaneously timeless yet 2000's. It's no wonder the Shima Longtail skyrocketed beyond a regular '09 rare.

2010

Big fan of Tyr's pets! Their linearts for the Chinese/Lunar New Year pets are some of my absolute favorites, so you probably already know what some of my fave Staff Dogs will be. I really love the eyes, the textures, and the way Tyr creates the new lines. It captures the essence of a traditional eastern dragon very well.

2011

I love this guy even more! The lines, the textures, the markings... arghhh I just love the way that Tyr colored the tail, the detail with each tuft of fur, and the claws are a neat touch. Absolutely gorgeous!

2012

This was a super strong year for staff dogs IMO. I got this pet in 2014 when I was real young... yeah the scemo hairstyle is all I need. Love this dogs, the emo fallen angel. Jokes aside, the coloring is amazing, and that's not even talking about how elegant the wings are.

2013

Another incredible round of staff dogs, it was so hard to choose I picked two. One, like P0LYPH0NIE said, I love the grandiosity of the Chinese-inspired pet. I love the tail being used as an ink brush. And secondly, scene dog by Yulynh. Yulynh made the scene ponies from 2011 I believe too, so this was so on-brand. Such a cute expression too!

2014

Oh jeez, this was a hard one considering it was my joining year. I love so many from this year, seeing as I got a lot of the staff dogs. But this one takes the cake I think. The soft, painterly lines suit this year's very muted color scheme. And like some of Lilian's other staff dogs, there's TWO animals here! So really cool.

2015

Oh god another hard one, since it was the first full year I was active in. But Imma choose this fella, cuz he reminded me of fractals. A very silly guy. I love the long tusks, the spotted pattern, and the radiating, wispy hair. A standout!

2016

Love how this just became a fennec fox! Adorable, I love the pose, the highlights on the fur, everything. A really simple but beautifully executed idea.

2017

I don't even have anything to say bro. This one is just a certified Chicken Smoothie classic. Huge, magnificent with striking blue eyes, and the fact the main focus/the dog lineart is actually a whole different creature from the previous growth stage! It's so creative and beautifully executed.

2018

An adorably silly idea. Stands out a lot for its cute, funny concept! It's great just having a dog with bubblegum all over their face in my favorites group.

2019

So many contenders for this one as well... but the star one stole me right away, and he's now one of my account mascots! Love him so much. And for the dragon... I love the way the tail was drawn. It's huge and grand, definitely a contender for one of the tallest staff pets lol. A super stunning design.

2020

I just love Doglike's art style and his shines through so well in this! I love the golden scales, the tiger stripes, the highlights on the spine fur, it just itches every design trope I love.

2021

Fluff monster. That's it. That's the post. A dog overwhelmed by their absolute fluffiness.

2022

I love alternate dog lineart poses, and Doglike's pose is so playful and fun. I love how he managed to keep it stylistically similar to the original lineart, so everything flows seamlessly.

this has to be my favorite staff pet litter. it was really hard to choose but I love the beautiful line art on this pet. looks like a benevolent creator goddess.

I love Chia's style on this pet... everything looks so soft and light. the reflected light on the tail and in the bubbles is lovely.

this litter was hard to choose from but this little bee-bear owns my heart. look at his little antennae <3

2022 - Koikee
I am such a sucker for leopard spots it isn't even funny,
and the way Koikee did these ones using these shades
of purple is so gorgeous and reminds me of Lisa Frank
a little. Making the flowers and herbs blue is a really
nice touch too. There's something so soothing about this
dog, like they'd make me the best cup of lavender tea
when I'm sick.


2023 - hellevi
I've had a really rough 2023, and for several months I
didn't have the energy to be active on CS. I forgot all
about the staff litter, and if I had remembered I surely
would have made the effort to get back into my account
a month sooner, and it especially stings because I missed
out on possibly my new favorite color scheme of the staff
litters. Pink and green are my favorite colors, and yellow is
up there too. This dog is by far my favorite of the litter, like
it wasn't even a question. I will ALWAYS have a soft spot
for this early 2000s emo look, it was what I aspired to be
back then hahaha. Everything about this dog's design put me
right back in my early days on CS, deviantart, and other
similar sites I can't remember the names of. This dog is
just everything. Love her <3
