Hoard Discussion Thread

i hoard christmas pets, and have done for about a year now.
so far we're at 3,673 and i'm trying to get the record for the biggest holiday pet hoard, although a certain xiao_jian happens to be ahead of us ;D... (hi btw, and congrats on reaching almost 7,000 cny pets!)
to get all the pets in it, i usually send trades or hunt around the cs free adoption boards, as christmas pets aren't worth that much and tend to be going for free. i can't remember the first pet in the hoard, since i had all my advents in one group and just decided to add more and more in until it expanded.
i don't really name the pets, nor dress them up, although there's a couple in there that are. ^_^

Uh, oh. You're the 3rd person I know of who is going for the record! I'm honestly interested in who wins, mostly because I'm surprised I've held the record for this long. Considering how many Advent pets vs my hoard mostly. Well, good luck! Once somebody beats it, I can relax a little, hehe.

well the other day i was working out how long it would take me to beat your record realistically, and i'd probably have to wait until 2014 before i'd have a chance, since more christmas pets would be released etc.
the reason i'm so far behind is probably my lack of motivation during 2012 (i had about 600, only collected 2011 ones and then left the site in june.) i came back in january 2013, having missed the entire christmas period, plus the 18th, which i missed on both years. also, during that time, i was also aiming for a complete collection.
it's only been in the last two months i've been hoarding them more, having put up all my pets for trade except the hoard plus a few others. i'm probably going to slow down again, since winnie's got an obsession with coontails all of a sudden. ^_^
still, congrats for holding the record. you deserve it.

Anyway, my hoard is up to 2100 I think, which is only 1033 away from beating the record for largest 2012 litter! I know, quite alot, but I'm going to work so hard! xD Anyway, I feel so lucky and fortunate right now cause I've been getting loads of gifts <3 I luffles you guys <3

What do you hoard?
I hoard bunnies, Pale Pink/Blue Spotted advents, and the Cinnamon PPS. c:

Why do you hoard them?
Bunnies: They are a wonderful lineart with many beautiful designs, and I have always adored them. My brother and I have an inside joke that for whatever reason reminds me of bunnies, and it inspired me to create this hoard.
Pale Pink/Blue Spotted dogs: The design of this dog is just amazing, and I have admired it for quite a while. After I recently traded for one, I grew to love the design even more and decided that I would like to own more of them.
Cinnamon PPS': This dog is just adorable. I simply saw one in a friend's trade group, and sent overpay for it right away. After dressing it, I fell in love with the design.

How large is your hoard?
Bunnies: I currently have 1690 bunnies; some are not in the hoard group because I would like to name them first.
Pale Pink/Blue Spotted dogs: I currently have two of these. c:
Cinnamon PPS': I have four of these, right now.

What is your goal for the hoard?
My current get 2,000 bunnies. After I get that number I will continue hoarding them, though. My other hoards do not really have any goals right now.

Do you overpay for hoard pets/items?
Yeah, sometimes. c: It really depends on the number/pets, though.

What was the first pet/item in your hoard?
Bunnies: I am not sure what my first bunny was, to be honest.

I generally try to collect 40 in each hoard, so I still get a challenge but it's not a goal I'll just get bored of.

They look almost identical to a small stuffed toy fox (with a tiny camera!) I have, so that's why I started collecting them.

Awww, I love them! They're adorable! My sister was thinking of hoarding them but decided against it c: she decided to just have 1 who she'd love <3 the one that she kept is called Beebo! Cute name, huh!? xD
