after putting this off for quite a while, i think it's time i share my hoards!!
i like to base the names of their groups on songs that i associate them with.

hoard #1;
don't you see me? (8/100)

i absolutely love this pet. i'm a huge fan of all things having to do with the sky, and the soft pink cloud appearance makes my heart burst! i named this group after fallingforyou by the 1975. the dreamy, mystical, and almost fantasy vibe from the song matches this pet perfectly.

face of contusions (1/292)

i actually just started this hoard yesterday, which is why i only have 1 pet so far haha. i haven't decided how many i want to collect yet; i'm thinking something big but not too big, ya know? these pets appeal to me and honestly i can't describe why. i named this group after cut my lip by twenty one pilots. i was lucky enough to see twenty one pilots in concert just this past week, so i knew i needed to dedicate a hoard to one of their songs. the lyric "face of contusions" really stuck with me, and when i saw these pets i knew it was meant to be.

i'm scared of dying (4/100)

this pet is different from the rest of my hoards. i feel that it is the "darkest" one, but it somehow fits so well. i love the design and line edit of this pet a lot. i kind of connected it with the idea of that looming fear of death a lot of people have. which is why i named it after i like america & america likes me by the 1975. the song and the pet both really capture that emotion.

love it if we made it (11/100)

this hoard was originally going to be a different pet, but after this years general helpers litter i instantly changed my mind. this pet is just SO COOL i can't even put it into words. i named it after love it if we made it by the 1975 (huge language warning if you decide to listen to it). i think this pet demonstrates the chaos heard in the song in an almost controlled way.

narcissist (2/345)

this is probably my favorite pet on CS. i've loved the deer lineart since it first came out. it is named after narcissist by no rome ft. the 1975. i am stopping this hoard at 345 because it is a number mentioned in the song. this is the only pet that is based on the song visually rather than meaningly. cherry blossoms are a huge part of the visuals when this song is performed live, so i took that as an opportunity to hoard it haha.

welcome to trench (6/593)

these deer have been my favorite halloween outcome this year and i KNEW i needed to hoard them. if you're a twenty one pilots fan you probably know about the whole lore surrounding their newest album "trench." i felt that these deer represented the lore perfectly. the group is named after jumpsuit/levitate by twenty one pilots, which are the first 2 songs from the album. these pets are just so stinking cute, and after i reach my goal i'll be naming them after the lyrics.

you look so cool (8/20)

this pet really represents heartbreak, which i've been through countless times. i wanted this one to be a smaller, but still meaningful, hoard. this hoard is named after robbers by the 1975, which is the best 3am simp song.

you're not mine (7/100)

the last hoard of mine is named after undo by the 1975 (also has some explicit content, so be cautious if you wish to listen). i think this pet really shows the feeling of wanting something but not being to get it. also, i LOVE the softness and gentle design of this pet; i think it matches nicely with the song.

there you have it, all of my hoards and the meanings behind them! it's gonna be a lot of work to complete all of them, but i'm really excited for the end result!!

Hello! I just joined in September and am enjoying CS very much. Everyone is so nice and several folks have been so generous!
Halloween was my first event and that was so much fun!
The idea of hoarding pretty pets is an awesome one and I fell in love with the October's glowing filigree cats! I love them!

I adore the october cat litter so much, they're an amazing choice for a hoard! The designs on them are beautiful, I really love the shapes in each pattern. Especially the wings on the yellow one!

Chickens and pigeons are two of my favorite birds so I'm going to hoard these cuties from April 2018, I think. They're just so lovely!!!

As a side note, are there any more pigeon-themed pets on CS? I could have sworn there was a rat but I can't seem to find it in the archives...

I hoarded this entire litter, too as a matter of fact I still am hoarding one outcome, Jay did such a wonderful job on them.
I don't recall any pigeon rats, but there is a dog litter from Christmas 2015 that's somewhat based on doves:

Two of the outcomes also have Christmas 2018 PPS versions.

I'd be the voice of bad decisions chanting "go for it, go for it" in the background, if I have to be honest, haha. Those bunnies are so darn cute, and the idea of 100 of them is very tempting.

I'm currently thinking of hoarding this rat and naming it after the lyrics to "Restless Heart Syndrome", which is my favorite song by Green Day

These rats would be a lovely choice to go with that song! They're also a very underappreciated design, in my opinion. So it'd be great to see them getting more love. They may be older pets, but rats are generally pretty easy to trade for - once you've found people who have them up for trade, it'll probably be relatively easy to offer on them.

when my sister and i were younger, we used to pick blackberries down the road from our house. while the dogs dont have berries on them--they're flowers--my sister thought they looked like berries. so when i asked for name suggestions she said childhood, based on us picking the berries!

I hoarded the black and blue outcome from last Halloween, so it seemed only fitting to hoard this one this year. Just a small hoard at 8 pets, but I think it looks quite nice. ^^
