While that’s true, remember this is just a rough guide. I don’t feel there should be even more to pin down prices or set a price for very rares of each year too since everything is trying to get away from a stricter trading, ya know?
I wouldn’t say they’d be the same C$ price either, but perhaps more up for others to price around the ‘guide’ price or higher/lower depending on their personal preference.

I sell rares+ often and I'll use the guide to price regular rares (and steadily increase from the lowest to highest price in a year bracket by month) but for VRs I add like 7-10 C$ on top of how I'd price it as a rare. I think it just goes off of personal preference on how you want to use the guide as it is just a guideline after all. (:

3 Month Rule /or/ 2 2009 Rares (what it's worth pet wise)

Mid 2009 Rare/Very Rare = 40-45 C$

I agree with that, I would probably support 'can' most as 'do' can be strong and cause people to try and overinflate prices, whereas 'may' is too weak in my eyes because it suggests a possibility whereas very rares often go for more than the bracket.

I'm not sure what should be done for pricing lists & older store pets but with this big shake up in trading I think it's a great opportunity to take a serious look at C$ prices. It has never made sense that a rare is said to be worth the same amount as a VR of the same year unless the VR is a list pet. Rares and VRs of the same year aren't swapable in normal trades so it just doesn't make sense to claim they are the same C$ price.

To add into this and bring it up again, I’ve seen a lot of talk about how with the rarity change, very rares should be swapable for other very rares along different years. Ex= ‘17 VR can swap for a ‘14 VR (varied given personal preference) and such. This would go the same for rares as well, and other rarities.
This is definitely something I could get behind and support because it only makes sense, even before the rarity update it did but even more now that everything is being changed.

That being said, would this be reflected in C$ then? Or how would that work? I know a number of users would not pay much c$ for a recent rare compared to an older. Hence why they go up a bit with each year.

I would wait until this is a widespread/agreed with concept before reflecting that in C$ values because I'm not sure people would agree with that way of trading as it stands. Or if you don't want to wait, keep the guide as is but add a new segment for 'if the user trades where years don't matter' or something?
