Unfair to them. Their pup is on the 7th tier of the advent list, while your Tess horse is only on the fourth tier. Not to mention, Tess horses usually have bad demand.

I think they're overpaying, the wolf figurines are worth an 09' rare each, Eros is technically worth a 10' rare but can easily get more (1-2 09 rares) and I believe the butterfly wolf is worth either a 9 or a 10 rare, I'm not 100% sure on that one though.
