This even further proves my earlier theory!

This is totally referring to climbing a tree, like it is a passage of
your life. You keep climbing, even if you're scared to fall, because
the easier it gets to climb the easier it is to learn to fly falling down.

I wasn't happy with the concept sketch I had for it and usually the fun of a pup stage comes from watching the users trying to guess its artist, which isn't a possibility with my obvious style. With this, I didn't really care that much about not having a middle stage this year.

I would kill for a PPS of that concept pup! It's so cute! <3

Okay, time to work. Apologies for the long post.
Jade's hints so far;

• I was slightly more adventurous this year. (I think this may have something to with line edits; her past few staff pets have been pretty simple line-edit wise, so perhaps that's changing this year?)
• "I do seem to like those markings, don't I?" (referring to tail, paw, and ear points being different colors from the rest of the body on 2/3 of last staff pets)
• "my adult dog has a theme"
• ^^ "Fly" song lyrics
• "You might be getting warmer. My dogs do tend to have plant themes, don't they?"
• and... Jade has no lost items, so no help there.
  
  The thing here... I'm getting a plant/sun vibe from these hints. Flying, plus warmth (helping plants grow), plus the plant theme hint - no idea whether that's arbitrary or not.
  Scrolling through my pups, though, there aren't any that really scream "hey, I fit these hints!" at me. Therefore, I'm just going to take a shot in the dark.
  1. (April showers bring May flowers, if we're still going with the plant theme; maybe the adult will have a little cartoon sun to pair with the cartoon raincloud, and the pup will produce chlorophyll and whatnot, wrapping up its plant theme. XD The paws and chest also have different colors from the rest of the body; does that matter?)
  2. (Well... it's a fireball. I don't really know what to take from that, but it reminded me of the sun, and additionally - it's flying. The eye markings on the pup also remind me of the sun. (Lame, I know.))
  3. (Another shot in the dark - it just reminds me of the sun and its pattern, as depicted in space books. c:)
