Trade Rant Thread

someone just offered on pets from my adoptions group, but the trade group was right underneath it. i accepted anyways because it had items and i didn't want to lose the trade just because they might have cancelled if i asked them to offer on the trades. it was...

me:
black and gold puppy
black with black n-like mark
black with m-like mark
malk grey wolf with blue eyes
malk grey wolf with pink eyes
green plushie butterfly wolf
white 2nd generation newborn

them:
black with red circle marks (from november)
newborn of the black marked ones
green snowman scarf
2 cookies
a white ornament with a face on it
2 dreidles
a coin stack

all in all: i got 2 pets and 7 items and they got 7 pets

I probably wouldnt have accepted, but I am weird that way :/

I just unlocked my: "Ultimate Favorites Group" and the "My Real Life Pets" Group. I wonder how many trade offers ill get on my pink sorbet xD

You never know; someone could offer you 3 other sorbets for it. XD
I would only trade something I have one of if I was getting a good deal. Like, I'd accept a trade where I give my red toxic and get a green and a yellow one. x]

Anyways, there's one thing I don't get.
Someone asks you what you want for a pet, you say you didn't see anything, and they get mad. Today, someone asked what I wanted for an '08 Advent cat. I kindly cancelled, saying, "Sorry, but I didn't see anything I liked." They then replied in a PM saying something along the lines of my message being rude, and that they "have better pets than me anyways".

-shrugs- Some people confuse me.

Edit: Oh, and so this post is more relevant: I hate when I want to trade and I can't find out the rarity of something and then I ask for something that's way too much / too little. I am a fail trader. xP

If I had to estimate, probably 60% or so of my trades received are exactly like that. -_-

In a way I kind of feel bad for people with not-so-great trade fodder. It goes away a bit when they would clearly be able to see the rarities on the pets, though. xD The only pity lingering is that it's difficult to build up a collection of older pets when your fodder isn't too great, and their biggest time of trading is luck or special events. I'm not bitter! D:

Again, though, kiiinda goes down the pooper when they can't read the rarities and offer anyway. They could get lucky, sure, but it's a better idea to let those trades come to them rather than start them on their own. I just feel a little bad that it'll be a while (if they learn) to get those pets. Puts a whole new perspective on your own successful trades though. You had to work For the most part for those buggers!
