Recent Rarity Change List [January Update in progress!!]

This is rather saddening for me though 'cause well.. I did a quantity trade and traded off a ton of my rares. :T Yeah I got a VR in it's place but I traded off nearly 400 pets (all Uncommon/Rare) and over 150 items (mostly food/drink) for a Target Dog.

YES I REALIZE I'M A DERP FOR LETTING IT GET TO ME but... T T Now I have no trading fodder.

Does anyone know if it was just an update in the rarity calculations or an actual update as well?

Either way, I don't think I will be doing an update this month since some pets will change because they ACTUALLY changed or because of the update in the calculations. So keep an eye out for what pets are OMG/VR/R/etc. so we know what -really- changes next month. c:

i dont like the new rarities... most of my pets are uncommens, commens.... yet
i am happy about ervery uncommun

I dislike it too, a lot of pets went down from rare to uncommon

The only thing I can think of to answer this is that many many people were complaining that they hated how the rarities were before. ouo So some people aren't going to be happy with them.
Thank you Nick for your hard effort in putting this together. I absolutely love these new changes. ;u;

Added to the fact that most of those pets weren't actually "rare" before, because the old rarity system was inaccurate. C:

I just lost about half Ok maybe not half, but still more than I would have liked to. my rares/and all but one very rare.

Yes we needed a change, but I don't like this even a little bit. -_-
It is only going to drive up the demand for newer pets ever crazier.

Plus with the new system it will take them longer to change back.

I'm pretty surprised that this rats in this^ litter are all omg so common. I thought atleast one had to be uncommon.
And I'm also pretty surprised on how newborns are geting their rarity so quickly now, instead of at the end of the month.

I'm not surprised at all. During that event, people got crazy amounts of those rats. It got REALLY tiresome. I was actually surprised that they weren't "very common" on the old rarity system.

The 2011 GUPPS & June rainbow pony are uncommon D:
And the August Lion is very rare.

They were still labeled as rares and people valued that.
Now the new rares will go for actual rares rather than the lower rarity rares.
It didn't help with the crazy any, in fact probably made it increase ..

Which in my mind, the crazy was the reason we needed a change.
People will still want rares.

Agreed, people were complaning that it was inaccurate, now that it is people are complaing their pets lost value. T.T People need to be happy it's accurate.

I was suprised the July Lion went rare, and the August Very Rare.
