To anyone:
Have you ever adopted an animal from a pet shelter? If you have, why you chose that animal? Was it your favorite?

Yep! I adopted my cat, The Snowy Biscuit, from a shelter in January last year. I chose her for a couple of reasons. My dad and I were joking about getting a female, black cat and naming her The Snowy Biscuit as a joke (a character in a weird book we once read) for months. So I found a black, female kitten and that was kinda perfect? But I did also check out some other kittens, and didn't fall madly in love. So the lady at the shelter took me to the back, where they had this little black kitten all on her own in isolation because they thought she had ringworm. I picked her up, and she curled up against my chest and started purring, and that was sort of that. Also she is super pretty. And the best.

What would you consider to be your greatest achievement:
(a) On chicken smoothie?

(b) in your life?

a. As someone else has said, becoming a staff member! For me, it was probably working my way up, all the way from being a general helper to an admin assistant. That was pretty rad and something I never ever expected.

b. Probably running a debating league (and having my team win an award for basically being good at what we did) while getting a degree with good marks and not falling apart under the pressure. Sounds like a small thing, but it was a close thing and I still look back on it with a mixture of horror and awe.

what staff pet (that you made) are you most proud of?

Todd! He's not perfect, but it was my first time using something that wasn't oekaki to do digital art, and my first CS pet, and I spent so long on him and got so confused, but I did it and I am proud of that. No regrets.

I'm from South Africa! I've always lived here, and I hope to always live here.

Jamba Juice has this one on the secret menu that's called the Pink Star. It's basically froyo, lemonade, and strawberries. Honestly, my main rule about smoothies is no bananas. The texture freaks me out, even though I like non-smoothiefied bananas.

Yes! My cat Josie came from the Humane Society. I chose her because she was incredibly sweet and cuddly the first time I picked her up. I couldn't say no. I can't pick favorites between my children, though. ^^

what staff pet (that you made) are you most proud of?

If you look at the litter, a lot of staff had trouble combining the green with the red colors and mostly used red as a result. I'm most proud of this one because I was able to use about half and half red and green and make it look good!

Does anyone have a total amount of all PPS outcomes on the site? (Not the total ones owned by users, but the number of PPS created, if that makes sense.) List and advent PPS included.

The number of PPS pets on the site varies depending on what you define as a PPS pet.
From what I've gathered, the amount would be between 741 at the lowest and 774 at the highest*.
I actually remember this question coming up a few times recently. We discussed it a bit on a help forum thread here (the entire string of posts from this point on, not just that one I made^^)

Basically, there are some pets that are technically made on PPS lines, but people don't count them because they are extremely edited, and there are some pets that seem to technically not be PPS, but people consider them as such anyway.

Personally, I usually use Lacuna's PPS collection as a standard, because I have looked through it and agree with all of her choices. She has 764 pets in her collection.
But feel free to read through the posts that bring up some 'disputed' pets to see if you agree or disagree with any of them.

Do all staff have the power to lock threads?
(I've been asking for my trade thread to be locked for maybe two days so I can make a more organized one and no one has seen. ;.;)

You should report the thread and ask the moderators to delete it. The moderators can't constantly look over all of the boards, especially ones that move as fast as the trade board, they'll see your request a lot sooner if you report it ^^
