Once the list gets updated, would it be possible to put the Gap list underneath the list

this could stop the "What is the gap between X and Y" post and it would give ease of access

Having the rares list already as an originally intended guideline for trading has already turned into the list becoming more of a strict standard than would probably be preferable on the whole for CS. Adding a gap list in my opinion would only make it seem like there are exact values that distinguish each pet (keep in mind a gap list doesn't just strictly and specifically outline gaps; by doing so, you're basically adding relatively strict and exact values for pets as well), and it would make it much harder to trade, with people being so picky and feeling like they have to get every ounce of value out of their pets when trading to some extent already. In general, the list and discussed gaps are mainly guidelines with plenty of leeway for people to offer more or less for different pets and trades. With so many pets out (similar kind of idea with items), you need a general set of guidelines to make it easier for people to learn and understand the importance of rarities, demand, and age of pets, especially newer players. Especially with a lot of people viewing the topic simply for the first few posts and not paying attention to the discussions or understanding the importance and intention of the list exactly, I feel like it would probably have a negative impact to add something like that.

On the side: Just adding a note about the idea of moving zebras onto the same line because it doesn't seem like there's really a difference anymore in trading the 3 zebras.

Honestly I didnt think of that, so that is completely understandable. I do have to say that it shows that not all gaps are equal like some seem to think, but yes after you pointed it out I could see some repercussions

I'm actually going to agree with Kevin. The thing is even just adding the gap draft list made things much more strict than they used to be. That and the gap draft list isn't perfect - for example the coontail is listed at two nons and a balloon even though it's never really been worth that. But seeing that changed what people thought about it. And if you look at every gap and add them all up some of the most well known shortcuts (like two red-x PPSs equal a balloon) don't quite work. Having the gap draft list hiding in the thread seems better to me because it assures that the people who use it are most likely going to use it right - as just a rough outline. As nice as it sounds in theory I think it would just get a little out of control. I'd personally be hesitant to add it to the front page for those reasons.

I used the search function and saw some ancient discussion on this, but is there any chance the Dark-faced Growing October dog will be added to the lists? It was released before some of the dogs on a lot of the lists u v u If not, that is fine, but I was just wondering <3

Just because it got released before some of the other dogs doesn't mean it's actually rarer ;3 it went very rare after most of the pets on the list i believe.

It will not be on the advent's list but once the added list is done it will be appearing on there. That doesn't make it worth any more then it is now, or worth anything near the advent. Nothing will really change to it's current position.
