"The" Rares List Guide - Do not ask about new UR's!

I thought the rares list was going to be updated when the UR pets were added? At least the Sunback & Sorbets.

To be honest, November is too late to add the new URs. We really should wait until around March/April next year for the 2013 URs, and July-Sept for the 2014 URs. I can understand people wanting to get them in before the rerelease though.

Re putting Flower & Aussie on the same line - I've seen no trades of them being swapped, so don't agree with them being together. Regarding rarity... Aussie was OMGSR before Sunback. Just throwing that out there.

If UR Aussies aren't going for Coontails or higher anymore, perhaps this is an option:

UR Cookie/Aussie
UR Flower Pot (& UR Cucumber?)
Non Dogs

We can let people decide for themselves what the gaps between those pets are. Does that look ok?

Edit: Forgot about Nonjewel/UR Lion. Perhaps this then?

The only problem with that is that the gap is so tiny between the nons and the nonjewel that it doesn't seem to make sense to me to try to cram another line in there. I still don't know what to do with the pot to be honest.

{that is far too low for the pot in my opinion.
The lowest I would agree with putting it is at the aussie. and I think thats a fine spot for it for now.
the pot is just rarer than that in my opinion.

as well I agree, UR's should be handled earlier q.q

edit- you're placing the pot at what it's going for. not including its actual rarity.
if the pot is placed where its going for then so does the banana, apple, cucumber, and zebs. and also all those high demand pets and any other very low demand pets. thats why the list takes into account rarity.

I thought a pet's worth was what people are consistently paying for it?

If we are going to boost low demand pets above their current market value based on rarity, then the speckle rats & ur grapes need to move up by quite a lot. Whatever we decide to do, we need to be consistent about it.

I was just starting to think the same thing. I think that we're putting more emphasis on rarity now that demand has gotten more out of control. If we wanted to put the pot with how it's been trading I would say put it between the GWJ and nons. But I really haven't been part of placement in the past so I dunno.

I think the cucumber should be higher than that, we were orginally just going to lower it 1 tier, why even more?

Agree - forgetting rarity and just playing into demand leads to inflation, but forgetting demand and purely looking at rarity isn't correct either. We have to find a balance and ensure that that balance is applied to all list pets.

Both started out as OMGSR in January, so we have no idea which is rarer.

In light of the recent rarity change of the July 08s, I am wondering, is Nonjewel really that much more popular than Nonswirl & Nontag? It's the same rarity (went omgsr at the same time) and I don't really see much demand for Nonjewel, so I do wonder if perhaps it might belong down with the other Nons? Perhaps something to think about later.
