"The" Rares List Guide - Do not ask about new UR's!

Can we focus on the URs and getting stuff related to that done? The other stuff can be dealt with after.
Our priority is the URs and all that and we keep getting distracted. We respond to ideas and then it's just left alone and we never come to a consensus. We need to discuss it without thinking about other things or just forgetting about it. It's mid November. It needs to be done.
We can look at the other things when we are done with it.

I suggest everyone read over the past few pages of discussion and think about what makes sense for the URs and what's related to them.

I haven't been keeping up with this thread for very long, but I'm a bit curious about one thing:

You're right, it is mid-November, and December 18th is almost a month away. What is the purpose of reevaluating the URs before the rerelease? Aren't the URs subject to a huge fluctuation when that happens, and wouldn't that mean that it would be better to reevaluate them after the rerelease calms down?

This is complete curiosity, I'm not meaning to insult your choice of topic in any way.

And my opinion on moving up the UR Aussie, I would also have to hesitate moving it up to the coontail. Just because something has high demand but not necessarily the rarity means we need to have it that high.

I have to agree here with DerbyGirl. Raising it that much would have to be like raising the BA higher than it is. People demand huge overpay just for that other to get it and it's not fair to the other wanting that pet. A lot forget that it is the combination that puts the pet where it is on the List. Frankly...leaving the UR Aussie where it is is much better than putting it where it hasn't been awarded. Now...seeing the trade with the UR Ice cat and the Grapes brings that into a different light. The fruit are in low demand; not a lot are seen being traded for even though some still want the food. I would think that putting the cat about 2 lines above the grapes would be about fair for it. More people want the Aussie; not a lot want the flowerpot nor the cat and if they do, please provide successful trades for all UR pets to better place them than where they are or will be.

The cat most commonly goes for balloon dogs. Thatd what i paid for mine. Putting it above ur grapes? Id say not, the grapes seem to have more demand then the cat.

I think putting the pot and the cookie under the coon level together might be a good idea for now? And after the rerelease we can see who gets to move up?


@storms. If we dont add the pets now we'll have to wait at least 5 more months. Which will not do the cat and the pot any good lol

The Longtail will likely not be on the list for a very long time. It's worth an early 09 rare, to my knowledge.

I wish I could find the posts from back in December and January, since I'm pretty sure I saw more than one person trading the UR Ice Cat for things like Sorbets and, in one instance, a GWJ. I think, though, that the GWJ was considered overpay even at that time with crazy demand for the new UR's...but I could swear I saw several other people paying sorbets... I remember paying attention to it, since I'd snagged the UR Ice Cat out of the Dec. 18 box, and was checking in frequently to see what I could potentially trade it away for.

The trades from January and December really aren't vailad. During the early months the demand for all URs was high. People were paying top of the list just to get them. We wait till later in the year to place URs because the demand has settled and trades are more consistent. Which is why more recent trades are wanted.
