hi everyone!
i haven’t consistently been on cs for years, which means really sporatic
adopted litters and a boatload of missed event pets.......... and a LOT
of these trading users are driving me NUTS! im trying to be as fair as
possible in theses trades to catch up on basic monthly adoptables and
people are acting like they’re all list pets, i swear! like, im saying fair
as in HI THESE DOGS ARE FROM THE SAME ‘18 monthly adoptable litter
and they’re both in our trading groups so let’s kill two birds with one
stone!!!!! and they say!!! no!!!!! and won’t even explain why or try to
work anything out!!!! i just!!! im too!!!! old for this!!!!! nonsense!!!!!

does anyone have any tips on dealing with people like this? it’s really
discouraging and honestly really irritating—especially since it’s just a
bunch of uncommons and commons im asking for

I feel you, seriously. I've dealt with my fair share of traders like this, too. The best way to handle it is to just let it roll off your shoulder, move on, and try again with someone else. For every annoying trader there is, there's at least two good traders that are willing to work with you.

I very much agree with Queenie!. It takes at least 2 trades to get monthlies and up to 100 before you get an older rare. These numbers aren't accurate of course, but people have hundreds of reasons why they cancel their trades. And honestly, the last thing I do is explain why I cancelled (If I did this, I'd still be responding to trades from 2012). I suggest you not to even look at cancelled trades, just send the next ones out. You save yourself a lot of time and stress! Some people cancel because the look of a pet doesn't appeal to them, some because the pet you added is involved in another trades, others forgot to remove a pet from their wishlist, etc. etc. it's not worth thinking about it. I mean, some people cancel because you didn't enter a certain codeword, haha. People have the weirdest reasons!

question: do you think it’s easier to set a goal to complete one small
collection at a time or to have many goals going on at once? or is it a
matter of level headedly balancing both options? in your own exp.

Definitely have a few going on at once! In my eyes it's like casting a wider net. You can focus on the goal most important to you when you're actively sending out trades but having all your goals on your WL makes life easier in receiving trades. For example you can be sending out and seeking out owls and then come across someone with a deer you still need and send a trade for that. That way, when you're done with the owls you have a headstart on the deer, etc etc etc.

I'd also say that if you're receiving a LOT of cancels, to try posting some of your trades on the FTT and see what the opinions on them are. I know a lot of people who have historically sent trades that are not as fair as they had thought they were. The people replying might also have some insight on why a trade was cancelled if it's to do with demand or how a pet was released or something!

i still need to come up for some reasonable goals for 2019. It might be completing my 2015 collection since it’s the most complete out of mine so far, but it may be a bit difficult to get the store pets and URs. Im gonna try to get as much done befor ethe new year too since I’m literally on Christmas break in 2 hours.

What is/are your goals on CS? Collect all the bunnies I find that the bunnies on this site are sooo cute! I need to add more of them on my wishlist in order to obtain them.

How close are you to completion? I am far, far behind!

How long have you worked on this goal? Less than a month! Around like 2 weeks ago?

With this last little weasel, my Eastern Dragon collection is complete!

That means all of my goals for this year are done! I'm so happy. ;u;
Now I can set my sights on the 2009 staff litter. This one's gonna be a trial, I already know. Thankfully I already have the Malk Mutant, so that's one tough staff dog down, but that Longtail....oh boy. x.x

Been updating my deer collection as we go through the advent calendar! I'm really glad that there's no UR deer (as of now), makes collecting a lot easier.

Currently focusing on my EPPS cat collection (missing the dragon cat and one of the easter cats) and my catepillar collection (slow going because of the peach and the bee :') I'm hoping there's art competitions that I can enter that have those two as prizes!

What is/are your goals on CS?
My current goal is to get all spiders. I joined the site right around the time that they stopped releasing them monthly and was pretty upset. (It's strange because I am TERRIFIED of spiders in real life ) I also have some side goals like obtaining dreamies and missed pets.

How close are you to completion?
Uhh... I'm not really sure. Halfway maybe?

How long have you worked on this goal?
Since I just returned, only a week or two.

Just completed this trade. I have 7 more 2012 monthlies to go! Gonna try to get a lot done during this break.

huge, giant, enormous leap in my bw collection today. I never thought I'd actually get one. I'm so happy, it's ridiculous. and I even get to watch them grow up!!
now we'll just keep fingers crossed that my adopted 18th 'pillar turns into the emerald and then I'll have more than half the list bws crossed off.

I've been thinking about collecting all of the EPPS kittens. I'm not really a fan of the middle or adult stages, but I really love the newborn stage. <3 Maybe that'll be a little side goal for me.
