Really, the first time I've ever heard of Red as a murderer was on a web-comic, when I was... Nine? It was amazing, but I don't even remember the name of it now. ^^; So, it's not exactly a new concept. But a fun one nonetheless.

Little Red [♀] .&&. The Big Bad Wolf [○]

A girl in red, still unwed,
Treading down the streets of town;
Holding a basket, tied with crimson thread,
Her pretty painted lips set in a blank frown.

She walks without deviation,
Her eyes staring blind,
Her hands speckled crimson,
From her last unlucky find.

But you, silly boy,
{If only you had known,}
Your foolish heart is filled with joy,
For little girls shouldn't walk alone.

She walks into the forest,
You're not close behind,
Dropping your axe, what's there to fear?
{More than you know, my dear.}

She doesn't turn, doesn't move,
But she senses you close behind.
Suddenly, she stops to remove-
-an axe of her own, {irony, you're extremely unkind.}

You pause when she turns,
Her beauty is stunning,
But her hands clasp the axe, the reality of it burns,
And you're rooted to the spot by shadows, {She's very cunning.}

They pull you down, clasping at your chest and throat,
And though you fight,
There's a black fire already licking up your tailcoat.
Her feet shuffle towards you, her face snow-white,

It looks rather pretty with your blood staining it, under the night's light.

In your final moments,
The axe buried in your chest,
You see her regarding you with a calm silence.
You manage to choke out, "Who are you, you pest?"

And though her face stays passive,
There's another voice behind you,
One of malice and hatred, the one of whom you're captive.
"We are, little dear, the Bad Wolf. Adieu."

...In my head, Little Red Riding Hood is a little possessed child who shares her body with a host of shadows, one of which being the Big Bad Wolf.

I make it a hobby to turn my favorite fairytales into horror stories; there's something about creepy fairytales that still make me want to run and hide under a thick cover.
...Aaand this is sort of my response to that new Little Red movie that's coming out. |3" No thank you, please~ I'll keep my possessed!Red.

I remember in Drama once we made this skit about how Red Riding Hood and her grandmother were murderers and poachers who eventually got run over. Good times, good times. This pairing reminds me of that skit.

Truth be told- I actually always thought that was the real meaning of Little Red. Or the implied meaning.

I can't picture a dog with a snake for a tail so I'm pretending they were joined with magic or sommat to keep Monty from running from an arranged marriage... or something like that. It makes sense to me!
