Hello.
I noticed that this beauty here, along with the other Speckled Rats, have turned OMG SO RARE. Does that mean they're supposed to move up the list? Because now that they are rarer than the Sorbets and Toxics, I was just wondering.

The list factors in demand, not just rarity. Rats in general have very little demand, even if they are OMGSR.. Not many players want them so they are easy to get and won't fetch much unfortunately ^^;

Actually speckled rats trade really well for rats(I have had three now, and I only manage to keep them for a week, I am having a harder time trading my toxic off then those rats), the reason they wont be moving, is they were originally OMGSR, and moved down to VR because of the rerelease

I agree with that, I've found them easy to trade off and my toxics a nightmare to get rid of, in fairness they are one of the best rats on site. But you could never get a higher VR July dog for one.. even taking their rarity into account. They still have the worst demand along with spiders in comparison to dogs ^^

that is not quite true, I got a WWA for one and a non balloon + a wolf pps for the other 2

Im speaking of rats in genaral as a comparison. The speckled rats are among the hardest rats to get, they will fetch what they're worth on the list, but the will never be moved up or fetch higher july VRs like the BE galaxy even if they are rarer. The demand sets them back with the august VR's. Alot of players just don't like rats.

I believe it was already tested once C: With the red-eyed project, if i remember well? They aimed to take as many out of circulation as possible and demand did indeed spike up for them.

If that was due to the fact that they were paying very well for just a bunch of them or due to there being less around - we probably will never know xD

There was someone hoarding coontails too? But they were overpaying.. I was offered a moonswirl for my last coontail and I turned it down being the n00b I was... 8B
Someone should try it with very commons..alot of effort but would be interesting to see if someone would eventually trade a rare for one x3

Anyways, that's a really good idea to test out.

These are some interesting theories, and a good excuse to hoard lots of pets xD
Hopefully next month I will pick a fairly common dog outcome and get as many as I can, I guess I will see what happens ><
