"The" Rares List Guide - Do not ask about new UR's!

On the pg. 509 breakdown, can someone clarify the value of the Blue Toxic from a Sorbet level? I'm trying to make a fair trade with someone but there's a big difference between it being worth a Sorbet and a Red Rose to a Sorbet and a Balloon Dog.

I recently spoke to DaDwarf about this and while we aren't completely certain she thought that the true gap might be around a mid/high september but since the sorbets for a long time had a very bad reputation it was sometimes necessary to add more than that. :) I personally have always thought something around a low/mid-low main list would do but the rares list itself is really only a guide so generally something in that range would probably be alright. :)

I had Blue Toxic valued at Sorbet + Balloon dog, with the valuation from Fat Unicorn (she was going to confirm it, forget who with though or what the outcome was) when I was trading with Kevinsaurus (so I assume Kevin also valued it similarly)?

I am uncertain why we have two very different gap valuations for the Blue Tox, but am having trouble finding references to either valuation in the forums as a lot of people have posted the rares list in different threads so it clutters up the search results.

All UR pets are included, yet some aren't listed yet. ^^

Many Ur's? The only UR's not included are those released last year, the UR ice cat, the UR aussie/2013 dog and the UR flower pot. They are not on the list as their value still has to be determined. We cannot add pets on the list the day after their release, because demand has not settled yet. Please search the topic before posting next time, this is a wildly addressed issue.

If you're looking for a specific pet's value in 09 rares I know there are several users (including myself) you could PM and get an estimate.
Komi has been discussing creating a point system that will not necessarily be based on 09 rares but it should make list trading a little easier. Of course this is a massive project to take on so it will likely be some time before it is finished - although someday it is set to happen. :)

What exactally is a list pet? is it just considered any random VR, or UR pet?
Or does demand have to do with it also?

Your original question belongs in the Pet Worth thread. I'm unsure how much you know about the 08 rares but if I get some time later I will post a bit in the pet worth thread about them, as their values are rather specific so you can't use any kind of generic rule for valuing them (same goes for the early 09 rares/VRs).

If you read the front page of this thread, it should answer all your other questions. To summarise, the list is a collection of the most valuable pets on the site, and their approximate value in relation to each other. It considers both rarity and demand.
