so far I think Lilian Nightshade made this one

Really surprised only one guessed Lilian for this pup with the way the highlights were drawn. owo;

Lilian would be my second guess for the pup (I'm still leaning towards Pluma), but I think that Lilian would make more line edits with hers.

Lilian's staff pet last year (and many of her other pets throughout the years) have all had some very intricate line edits and I expect that her staff pet this year will as well. I'm still thinking that the egg pet is hers for this reason (as well as the intricate style it's drawn in).

I definitely wouldn't rule out this pet as a possibility for Lilian's, however

Lost on Lacuna's hint about the records...got a bunch of bullhooey about backmasking and satanic messages in songs played backwards.

5 pups have different smiles from the majority though so...maybe one of them?

You could always say 4 for the amount of hooves, but what of 2?

Edit-- wait, cloven hooves would be 2, and then 4 hooves so that's 8

I'm starting to agree with this, namely because Aries Zodiac is commonly depicted as a goat.
If with Lacuna's recent post was an actual hint
and maybe Aries knew something..

and as for the records being played backwards, perhaps that's related to demons/satan?

When people talk about playing things backwards, it's usually in the context of evil messages hidden to secretly influence people. Goats are highly related to the devil-- Aries is represented as a ram-- and this pet has 4 cloven hooves

I don't have one so can't change the background colour |D looks like wings though..

They actually look ALOT like wings.
Maybe they will be wings made of dust/smoke/mist/glitter/fairy dust/etc.

Thanks to a lovely user I now have the pet, so tried to find a background colour to better show the 'wings', but its still rather difficult, but is there.

Also, the edits can only be visible on the adult, not the pup, I wouldn't rule it out just because Lilian tends to heavily edit the lines usually. After all, we've only seen one staff pet from her... ^^;

We all LOVE The egg one..
and she's said at least twice now that she loathes what she's designed this time around...
maybe she drew a simple pup, with the intentions of having the heavy line edits on the adult stage..?
