how many 09/08 rares does it take to be worth a very bottom, last tier advent list pet

3-4 early-mid '09 rares, as to 08 rares, not sure. Maybe 2-3 early ones?

What I've been observing is that:
early = January through April
mid = May through August
late = September through December

so early 08 pets = April 2008 pets (CS didn't exist before then), but the April 2008 pets along with the May and June 08 pets were released in the 08 Advent Calendar, and most of them are already on the Advent List o________O

Actually, a lot of the 08 pets are on the Lists, nevermind what month they're from. o__________O

I'm not saying that that's what it should be changed to but the reality of it is that I have never seen a user take 3 mid/late 09 rares for a bottom tier list pet - not even the rat.

Just did this less than a week ago for the rat. xD

I can think of a lot that arnt on the list, Card dogs, camo, the greenish 3tailed dog, i can think of rats and tess horses too

Lol man I wish I could get those pretty rats for that! Although that was definitely really unfair to them.

I see what you're saying Solloby but if that's true and most of those rares are VR now then doesn't that kind of eliminate them from the "mid advent is worth X 09 rares" then? I mean I get that it might've happened in the past but now that the rarities have changed those pets aren't 09 rares anymore. So... I'm not really sure how to sum this up but I hope you get what I'm saying lol.

No that's not what I mean sorry lol.
Solloby was saying that the trouble with it being early 09 rares is that many of those rares went VR so it would have been unfair to the rares side then (I think - unless I am misunderstanding you).
What I'm saying is that that might have happened in the past but now that those past-rares ARE VR they don't count as part of "3-4 early 09 rares" anymore. The only early 09 rares that are left are the less rare ones - because all the rarer ones are now VR. :)

I didn't read everything that got posted but

3-4 early 09 rares = mid-advent. Those early 09 rares that were used for these trades have now gone very rare. There's early 09's are from january/february/march and most of these are now no longer 'hard to get rares' but are 'hard to get very rares'.

7-8 09 rares (all dogs.) for a mid-advent (Border collie line.) Has already been mixed from all months, with at least 1-2 from those early months (That have slowly gone very rare).

3 2008 rares/very rares (read 2 r+1vr or 2vr+1r) is also a border collie line.


I've still seen trades happen with 8-9 09 rares of which not all rares are dogs, especially since the equi project happened. (Saw a trade with 10 equi horses for a mid-adv...wish i could find the link >.>)


I think it matters a lot what is being traded. Saying 10 09 rares went for a mid-adv could have happened but it depends on which rares, were they that wanted, was there a spike in demand, wishlist pets? dreamies? That all kinda influences the trades :3

^ Yes that is what I was trying to say when I was talking about the rares going VRs.

So 3-4 early 09 rares, really means 3-4 high quality early 09s, as almost all of the ones I have been thinking of are now VR looking at the archives. The other early 09s that I'd consider high quality are the Black Husky and White Feb, and maybe the Black Dalmatian and Blue Merle Aussie? They all have good demand.
