Hurr durr...
I told myself that I would stop with auctions. But no, I just HAD to want a Green Sorbet! ;-; I have an auction for my Yellow Sorbet and the auto-win is a Green or Blue Sorbet. I know that the auto-win is worth slightly more, but that's the point of auto-wins, no? With shipping, you pay more to get your item more quickly than the normal time. So, if you offer slightly more, you get my pet more quickly.
Anywho, somebody sent me a trade suggestion as their offer and it included a Green Toxic in it, along with some other pets that I'm looking for. I wanted to accept but I couldn't since they didn't offer the auto, and the Green Toxic got traded away. Their bid was pretty decent, too. -_- If I just learned to stay away from auctions, this wouldn't happen. I mean, I have nothing against the auctions forum, but it seems that a lot of people don't understand how an auction actually works. First of all, if you auction something on eBay, you can't "withdraw" it when nobody overpays; that's the chance you take with an auction. Second of all, people really shouldn't offer pets that are in pending trades.
:c Oh well... I suppose I've learned my lesson.
EDIT
Nope, haven't learned my lesson quite yet. Somebody offered a Blue Sorbet for my Yellow Sorbet and I accepted the trade. The only problem I had with that was the fact that they addded my Yellow Sorbet to my side, meaning that they used that one exploit to send it. ;_; I'm very happy that we traded but they sort of broke the rules in the process.
