So excited to see all the staff pets! This is my first September playing here and I was so happy to see how many we could adopt lol

since we're already talking about it and i've always wondered, can someone explain pet IDs to me and how they work and why they are so important for some people? this is a common theme on a lot of sites but I don't know where to find them on the pets or what I'm looking for or what the value of those IDs is... and now that our staff pets supposedly have different IDs I have no idea what this means or why it's important, other than the fact that it could mean different outcomes. IDs have never made sense to me. Sorry if it sounds dumb T_T

EDIT: I DO know that on each pet's individual page it literally says "PET ID" with a number, I do get that much. I just don't know what it means or why it's important. Sorry if that was confusing. I meant I don't know where to find them in general on most pet adoption sites. ;-;

Pet ID is just a number that's assigned to the pet when it's adopted, so the site can keep track of each individual one.
They count up from 0, and no two pets have the same ID.

So if you adopt four dogs, their IDs might end with -1, -2, -3, and -4. It doesn't have any hidden meaning.
What people are talking about is the image ID, which is a similar thing but is just the code assigned to the image. If you [*img]{imgid}.png[*/img] it'll display that image.
