Adopt virtual pets at Chicken Smoothie! They kinda look like some kind of chocolate egg so I wonder if that’s gonna be the litter theme
Chocolate eggs perhaps for Halloween?? I'm excited for this litter as well
Lillian mentioned a page or two ago that they're sort of vent-y designs. c:

Making CS pets is still a big passion of mine, it's just that my life has been so chaotic in the past few years, my muse for designs pretty much shriveled. In this year alone, I lost two pets of mine, and I literally just found that one of my long time online friends lost her battle to cancer a few days ago. Things have been rough, so to speak.
With all this, I ended up getting inspiration to make this litter. Their designs have a somewhat venty theme and I will probably write little excerpts to accompany their growth into the adult stages. Just like the good ol' days of my storytelling litters. Hopefully you guys will like it.
My condolences, Lillian. It sounds like it's been a very hard year.
I'm glad to see you back making beautiful litters. I admire your strength <3

Sending you all my happy thoughts Lilian, I hope that the litter was a bit cathartic in some ways. Excited to see how it turns out and I hope it helped you process some of those emotions. You are not alone!

Now that I'm home and can finally go in depth about my thoughts this month...

I have
ALWAYS been super obsessed with 3rd gen litters, and this one is SUCH a delight already! I cannot wait to see these babies grow up.

Lilian I am so sorry to hear about your losses. I lost someone close to me a while back and it was so overwhelming. Your Chickensmoothie family loves you so much. I cannot wait to see what these eggs contain!

WOW do these just scream "October" or what?? I am in love with warm colors so much! I love how they're used here.

I love the colors used here!

LOVE the purples used here, these remind me a lot of polished geodes

Very curious as to what is in store for this batch of ponies!

I was hoping for opal myself, but opal is really difficult to use as a gemstone for jewelry because of how soft and easily damaged it is; it's not a crystalline solid like diamond/sapphire/etc, so it can't be cut like one. (Opal jewelry is mainly cabochons, which are shaped and polished as opposed to faceted and often affixed to a sturdier, dark-colored backing.) Given the cut and faceted bonus gems that come with the full set every month, and given that we've already seen a soft birthstone replaced by a crystalline alternative (June's is usually pearl, but the June set is alexandrite), it makes sense we'd get a crystal for this set too.
Looking ahead, all of the above implies December's set may be tanzanite instead of turquoise.
at least I hope so because I love tanzanite lol
