Having grown up around all three, my 7yr old daughter does. :ugeek:

I'll put them up, in case anyone is curious as to what breeds they were based on. ^^

Then you should at least take the right breeds. I'm not familiar with the names but that's what they look like:

The reference pics don't give much away, Sorren Fey.

Seeing the two reference pics you offered, the breeds are mixed and the patterns aren't exclusive to any particular breeds.

As for colouration/pattern, one is simply termed Spotted (eg Holstein breeds) and Fawn (eg, Brahman breeds), though neither Spotted nor Fawn are exclusive to any breed.

Spotted Cow Rat and Fawn Cow Rat would work just fine and aren't specific to any particular breed.

If one must stick to colouration/pattern types rather than breeds, the final "Longhorn" rat would be considered mainly Roan, although both Roaning & Spotted patterns are visible on the rat. Easiest, perhaps, to continue to call it a Longhorn Cow Rat?

I just pointed out that those cows you posted were not correct.
Wouldn't it just be easier to call them black cow rat etc.? That's probably anyways what people call them.
The guide shall only tell people what they are mainly refered to, not what a few people want them to call.

Hey! Two outta three ain't bad, particularly when going from the adopts themselves rather than reference pics! :D

I submit that Spotted Cow Rat, Fawn Cow Rat, & Longhorn Cow Rat are all simple and make sense.

Easy-peasy in English, no one can confuse those descriptions with any of their litter mates (or any other same colour combination rats from any other litter ever), and best of all each are described in genetically accurate colouration/pattern rather than even suggesting any breed at all.

It's just a suggestion after all. Folks are entirely welcome to call them whatever they like. Larry, Moe & Curly; or Ludwig, Van & Beethoven; or Huey, Duey & Luey all spring to mind as fun possibilities. Fun is, after all, what we're having, isn't it? 8-)

Actually only one picture was right. But anyways... A guide is to show the most common used names, not any really cool fitting names or something.

Two, but you're very welcome to pm me if you wish to continue our discussing bovine genetics & linked marks/patterns/colouration, but I suspect others have long since tired of it. 8-)

What are their commonly used names?

I've been calling this litter 'Airbrush litter' in my head, but I doubt that others have been doing the same. XD

Spraypaint has been my name for them. ^^ Airbrush is a beautiful name too, and maybe I'll have a poll.
