I first thought the 2nd gen pairing was a bit dull compared to the previous ones. But the puppies look very promosing. I was lucky and got all 4

I'm fairly certain that the original Brothers Grimm is in the public domain, although I could be wrong.
So no, it wouldn't be copyrighted; and after all, there are so many variations on the story that people have taken...
