I think the mods mistook the post for a fair trade question and didn't realise it was about the gaps list ^^;

My personal notes have Blue Toxic = Sorbet + Balloon dog.

I think at the moment it could be blue sorbert (That the right one?) and a rose or yellow/pink and ballon, Maybe?

Advent Pet Values

There was some confusion about advent pet values and gaps when I was asking a question in the FTT, so I have looked up some of DD's posts, and Fattu has replied to my PM questions. Thanks to them and to everyone in the FTT for discussing their values and helping me out! I have now learned:

Mid Advent (border collie tier) = 3-4 early 09 rares, or 6-7 mixed 09 rares

The gap between a Mid Advent and the Peppermint Eared tier is one 09 rare.

The gap between each tier in the advent list is different, and not all of them are a rare.

If you disagree with any of this, please post asap, because this is what I am going to be quoting whenever people ask about advents in the FTT.

I have to say i have never had a 3-4 '08 rare accepted for a bordercollie, let alone 3-4 early '09 rares, i dont think this happens much more

and the only way i get list pets (advent) accepted is by going up a teir with 1 '09 rare, nothing less ^^;

I wish i could get a vixen or so for 3-4 early 'o9

I agree, as I was among the users in the FTT. It was just confusing yet I didn't want to say anything there as it wouldn't be seen.

I doubt anyone would take 3-4 '09 rares for a mid tier advent, since practically everyone thinks 6-7 '09 rares is only fair for that. It's just what people know...

One thing to note, is that a lot of the early 09 rares are going VR now. Perhaps the early 09 rares that were accepted in such trades in the past are the VR quality ones?

I have heard of the 6-7 mixed (mostly mid/late with 1 early) rares going for a border collie tier, and early 09 rares do go for multiple mid/late 09 rares - my memories of that might be a bit old though, I don't really trade in that area much myself.

I think a lot of people just don't want to trade down off the rares list. It will probably get better once the advent list is extended to incorporate the early 09 VRs. Although perhaps the values will sit more around 2 early 09 VRs instead of 3-4 early 09 rares?

7 early 09 rares seems excessive to me, but again, I don't really trade much in that area. Perhaps the value has changed to somewhere in between?

I could see 3-4 '09 VR for a mid advent, but not 2 as some people wont even accept that for a low advent

I do think we should split the '09 VR's that will not be going on the list into '09 rares. Perhaps instead of 6-7 09 rares (still to be decided on the number of rares, of course) we could for 3-4 '09 VRs? I'm not sure how many each '09 VR would count as, as I'm not good in that area. Just a thought, however.

EDIT: We could do that with the other lines, of course. Like, how many '09 rares for a top tier (brain's foggy, sorry!) could be split into 09 VRs. Bliz got there before me haha. cx
