Earlier on, someone had a theory about that hint. The dog can see us through it's hair, but we can't see it's face. I bet when it grows, the eyes will have some kind of edit, as of the next hint...

I've been rejected

and when I grow up

My theory is, when the dog grows up, it's face and eyes may be mutated or edited in some way. So, we'll know why he/she's been rejected (probably something to do with it's eyes, as hinted with the previous hint)
