Uhm, yeah off topic. Thank you I'll keep it! Ooh I love it the way it's displayed like that. Is there any way to make it look like that for everyone automatically? I swear that sometimes when I click on people's groups they have really large pages without me doing anything

Its awesome when you hoard a bunch of pets for awhile, and they're worth quite a bit, and you put it up for trade, - it really helps your other hoards, - well from my past experience.

I like keeping my hoard pets below the age of 2014, - what about you guys ?

Age is not really a factor for me. I currently only have one hoard left and it was only from a few days ago! I do agree that disbanding let's say an '12 hoard is really helpful though. ˆˆ So if you love the design of an older pet I definitely say go for it!

Lol! Better late than never I guess for your friends. I have a friend who's like that with Jeffrey Dean Morgan. I've been telling her for years that John Winchester is adorable. She ignores me. Now that he's on The Walking Dead, she's fangirling all over the place. Silly woman!

Anyway, I love changing the page size for my hoards and seeing them all on one page like that.
Unfortunately, there's no way that I know of to permanently set it to stay that way.

So I go to page two of the group, change it myself in the Addy bar and sit and scroll slowly. ^_^

Hello, and welcome to CS!

Useful tip number 1: Most people who don't trade with hoarders normally have it listed in their trade rules, in my experience anyways.

Useful tip number 2: When asking for multiples of one pet, make sure you don't grab all of them, especially if all of their groups are unlocked for trading. I like to leave them one, especially if you noticed that it's in a NFT (not for trade) group or in one of their collection groups. If the pets are in their trade groups, I say go for it.

Useful tip number 3: If someone cancels on you, saying they won't trade multiple pets to one person, even if it wasn't in their trade rules, don't get bent out of shape. There are plenty of people on CS that would love to trade with you, especially if you are someone who offers overpay for your hoard pets (for rarer hoards).

Useful tip number 4: Lock your hoard groups. If you scroll to the bottom of the group's page, you'll see a link that says "Change Trade Settings". Click this and choose "Nobody can make trade offers for these pets." I do this to all my groups that aren't trade groups, but unless you want people offering on your hoards, I'd go ahead and lock them, just to be safe.

Useful tip number 5: Come up with a labeling system for your hoards. I like my hoards near the bottom of my groups, away from my general collection, so they're easier to pick out. I use ZZ) Hoard: "Insert hoard name here". You can also put them at the top of your list too, by adding numbers instead of Z's.

The majority of people are usually okay with it nowadays from what I've seen. It can get more tricky with rare+ hoards, as there's people who don't support those even when they're okay with hoards in general. But hoarding itself has become widely accepted as it is, and I don't really see many people any more who will refuse to trade with hoarders.

Your best bet is to make sure you always read or at least skim people's trade rules to see if they have any rules about not asking for more than one of a pet, or anything like that.
If you're feeling really unsure and can't tell if someone is ok with hoard trades or not, you can try adding something to your trade message, along the lines of "I hope it's okay if I ask for multiples of this pet". A little bit of politeness often goes a long way, so it's a good idea to make a habit out of leaving at least a small message anyway.

There's no right or wrong way to go about hoarding things; some people like to finish their hoards one by one to focus on them better, while others hoard multiple things at once.
Personally I like having a couple hoards going at the same time, because it can feel a bit tiring to search for one and the same pet, especially if it's a bit harder to find. So it's refreshing when you can just grab something else in between, even if your main focus is one particular hoard.

Of course, on the topic of trade rules, it's also a good idea to mention hoarding in yours - that way people know that you want multiples, and they won't feel like they can only offer you one of a pet.
Having links to your hoards or a couple pictures of your wanted hoard pets can help, too, as long as they're not too many.
(Too many pictures can be a bit overwhelming. Hoard an entire litter? Use the newborn pic instead of all the separate outcomes, or one outcome with the note "hoarding entire litter".)

And since you're new - the Pound is gonna be your best friend for a while. Try to catch the openings - they're free pets, and it's a great way to get either your hoardies, or some old pets to use as trade fodder (or for keeping).

I agree. I've been hoarding pets and items for years. Nevertheless, sometimes it's better if you say you're looking for X and Y and multiples are welcome, instead of saying you're hoarding X and Y. Maybe it's just me but I get a lot more trades if I say multiples are welcome instead of saying I'm hoarding the pet. 8D

Oh and I think there is nothing wrong with hoarding after all. I have a complete collection but I want to do something and have a reason to log in every day. Some people collect all pets, some only dogs, others only Black Advents, everyone should decide for themselves what they want to do with the time they're spending on here. ^_^
