"The" Rares List Guide - Do not ask about new UR's!

Hi silly question so please dont make me feel even more stupid for asking but I understand we are talking about the gap and more specifically the UR Tiger and such, but what about either of the cerberus? No one would trade up a cerbeus just one tier on the list. Most people would expect the whole advent list plus some for it and then may only consider the trade. Is that because they're actually THAT rare or is it just people being silly? And is the reason they along with the joker and black advent so high on the list because there aren't many in circulation?

I have a question that's a little silly, but I tried the search function and couldn't find it. So, when someone says a "5th tier advent", do they mean 5 tiers from the top (Hyena Bun level), or 5 tiers from the bottom (Peppermint Eared level)?

It goes from the bottom up, for example a marrionette is lower then a raven

So you're saying, if someone asked me to add a "4th tier advent" to a trade, they would be referring to a pet on the 4th line from the bottom, such as a Mini Grey Husky? I know the value goes from the bottom up, but is the bottom tier called the "first tier" or the "10th tier"? Sorry I can't think of another way to phrase it.

About the point system mentioned, couldn't it go something along the lines of how the C$ value is? Like if you added up C$ value of the pets, so like, a line tribal is 550 points, so 11 advents in the 50 line would equal a line would equal a line tribal? And you could just use different pets and add them up to that total?

Back to the whole Joker thing i had an offer for Sunjewel for mine and they canceled it themselves i would have accepted it but then i would have felt really bad because i knew it was extreme overpay

If they canceled it themselves shortly after they sent it, they might have just been flashing you ^^;

("flashing" usually means someone sends a trade with enormous overpay on their side [too good to be true xD], and then they cancel it almost immediately just for the heck of it; not everyone who does this is a flasher, but there are people who do this just to be obnoxious)

I feel that having this thread more easily accessible would promote more reading of the thread and therefore make trades fairer.

Pet rarity trades and C$ trades are completely different. They can't be compared to each other. You probably notice that just based on C$ conversions alone, sunjewels can go for a miniscule amount of list pets whereas the scenario is quite different when it comes to the rares list. C$ come from real money, so that has to be factored in heavily into the determination of that list. It's completely different from the rares list, which is based on rarity of pets mostly, which varies greatly from pet to pet. Not to mention that doing something as drastic as making a line tribal worth only 11 advents throws the entire CS economy off balance at this point given that a large number of people are accustomed to the rares list and have a general sense of what things are worth. It'd cause chaos, and as such, the rares list can't be changed to match C$ as well.

As nickjr said, it was probably flashing. In either case, that's just a one-time thing and isn't the norm, so a sunjewel offer on a joker wouldn't affect the decision on where to place it.

I'd send a PM to ask if you really want an answer from Komi or a mod, although I think it's better off not stickied. The rares list guide is just a guideline and reference for some people. Not everybody uses it or fully agrees, and that's something that needs to be respected. Sticked topics generally seem to be those that are more important and that are universal for all players, and as such, I'm not sure it would necessarily be the best idea to sticky this. You can always find it easily anyways within the first few pages or with a simple search too.
