I'm not sure about the others, but in #1, there is a re-released 2008 July Rat in there, so they're overpaying (The rats from that time had been said to be worth around a woodwing by themselves.)

2. The easter rares from this year are said to be worth a 2010 uncommon (though they have gone for more.). The store pet you have is worth a 2009 uncommon, if not more. (Now that it's retired, it should be worth more.) If the store pet is worth more than that since it's retired, then it's unfair to you. You should get another opinion, though.
And I'm curious about the grinner question as well.
