I've got to make a quick correction to one of my earlier posts - I meant to link to a post that listed my hints but accidentally posted the link to a different post twice. Someone found the list on their own and posted it, which is good, but this is the post that should have been in my original post (which is now edited to include it):

I haven't been following this thread so I apologize if I've missed anything, but I think it's also possible that the fire pup could be Schuyler's?

Maybe it will be Phoenix themed? What does everyone think?

I could definitely see it and it does look like a wing...... I think it could be either of theirs. D:
if Schuyler's is not a phoenix though, sure as heck sounds like one. O.o
