And yet, when I was a newb, I actually bothered to read the bloody rules and figure out rarities. Just because you're new is no license to disregard clearly visible trade rules and spam people.

I did read the rules, and tried to work out rarities, and I did read trade rules, but not all newbs do, but there is also a high number of people that do not have trade rules.

If they don't have trade rules then the newbie is totally justified in getting ticked off that the person got mad that they weren't following some unspoken rule. However, you are the exception that proves the rule, I think.

...BTW, who is the person telling all the newbies weird rumours about the site? I've had so many people ask on chat, where is the button that gives you a custom? ._.

My trade rules are funny... I try and trick them with a puppy.

If someone is constantly annoying you, I can understand accepting. If someone just did it by accident... I'd just find it increibly mean.

I read trade rules too, and I wish everyone did.

It was hilarious at our announcements when the principle kept saying "There are no stairs" xD

I don't think "they didn't read my rules" is an acceptable excuse for taking someone's pet. Were they stupid to send a trade with pets on their side, and no safeguard to make sure their pets weren't taken without something given in return? Yeah, that's a little foolish. Does it give anyone the right to act like a jerk and take what's not theirs? No. >.> If they break your rules, you can foe them and never have to deal with them again.

I don't think I'd trade with anybody that said they'd take someone's pets if they had the opportunity.

*snorts* I'm not a big n00bscammer, in general I only send back lousy trades to people who tried to scam me out of July pets or something, but if it looks like they're a total rude idiot I think the person on the other end has every right to *attempt* to scam them in return. The thing is, if the person isn't reading the trade rules, isn't actually looking at the suggestions button, and is STILL offering pets, then I'm not sure I'd really want to trade with them anyway.

I don't think I'd trade with anybody who completely overlooked my trade rules. It shocks me how many people say "I read your trade rules and am following them" and then breaks every single one.

Well, I disagree. I don't think people should steal pets even if the opportunity is handed to them. I agree that there are a million ways to prevent the theft of your pets, but my point is not about the stupidity of the trader. It's a question of ethics. There are ways to wash yourself of the problem - like, putting them on ignore - that would solve the issue if you don't want to trade with them because they're not reading the rules.

From an ethical standpoint, don't you give multiple offenders a warning? If they're going to be rude scammers, then the least I'm going to do is send them an angry message. If they ignore that, well, I might just scam THEM. I'm completely within my rights to do so, not all newbs are innocent newbies, some are out to scam you ._.

I don't think people should try and slash my tyres when the opportunity strikes, either, but the thing is that posting somewhere saying how totally unfair something is will not change the fact that some people accept free pets from others. I don't think anyone reading this thread will change their ways just because of a complaint.

And besides, if you put someone on ignore, all they do is just PM you to ask why the heck you ignored them.

I keep getting trades offerring me unPPS that I don't need. Two open ended suggestions that offerred one and asked me "how much would [I] trade for this?" I'm like, o_0 nothing, thanks. I'm starting to wonder if there's a place I missed when updating my wanted pets, but I can't find anything!
