Hoard Discussion Thread v.5

Im so tempted to start another hoard.

With a hoard based hoard, I think that sounds fun and awesome

So I have a question for you all, as I need some advice:

Should I make my account hoard-centered?

What I mean by this is that Im considering putting all the pets I have whose designs I don't really like into trade groups as fodder, and likely only keeping ones whose designs I enjoy.

I'd likely only keep my List Pets, store pets, and any rares, VRs, and uncommons I really enjoy. I migh make my only other goal (besides hoards) to get all the main/september/advent list pets just to have something to reach for.

The only reason I'm so hesitant to do this is because I'm afraid I might regret it. Also I've been trying to get every uncommon+ pet on CS for so long that it feels a bit like I'm giving up. But honestly all I really trade for anymore are my hoards so would it really be they much of a change?

EDIT: Also if you don't feel like giving a long description on why I should or shouldn't do anything just respond with HAWKE NO or HAWKE YES depending on your opinion!

I kinda did this. I basically decided that trading for high-list pets I still want was too frustrating and pointless to keep trying to do. Never mind even trying to get a complete collection.... what a nightmare.

So I went through my groups, dumped everything I didn't like into trade groups, and focused on only keeping/collecting pets I like, including the occasional hoard.

I almost quit CS because trading is/was so bloody miserable, but doing that gave me a reason to stay. I do what I want, don't worry about the ridiculous trading drama anymore, and just enjoy collecting pets that I like.

Anyone get any hoards from the re-release? I didn't Unfortunately but I'm still trying to work some magic with offsite trades. Want to grab some 7th tier advents so I can start my brown border collie hoard

I already do this pretty much, I only have dreamies, pet collections like my PPS cats,
syrians and deer and then all the rest of my groups are hoards c:

I always had a husky puppy the previous years, but never got a black&white one. I really hope I'll be able to watch one grow this year ;v;

Anyone else with rare/very rare hoards loves to trade an already grown pet for a rereleased one?
I love watching the pets I love so much grow again, the puppy stages are so cute!
Last year I managed to trade one of my Pink Cookies for a Pink Cookie Puppy, it was the most precious thing. I hope I can manage to find one this year, too and watch it grow ♥

I've been doing this right from the start. Like I am saying in my collection/hoard thread on the Adoptables Forum, it has never made sense to me to spend time/money/headaches over pets that didn't appeal to me just for the sake of having a complete collection. <3

If you're afraid you might regret it in the future, why not start with a single species (for example rats or whichever species you like least) and move on from there?
