Sure you can, but an auction isn't the place for your fantasies. Put something there that is actually within reasonable range of what you are auctioning and is slightly in your favor, and you could actually get it.
My biggest annoyance is the "Might be for auction" auctions. Either do it or don't. If you're waffling on whether or not the pet is actually available, I think I'll just keep my pets to myself till I find someone more decisive.
I am so with you. >C
It irratates me so much, I don't even bother looking at the autowins anymore.

I just like being a drama queen and a pain, so I always put in outrageous autowins.

At least one per auction! XDD
I'm just me, though.

Feeling a bit down? Want a free pet? You may pick one pet from this group here :>)Howling ghosts they reappear
In mountains that are stacked with fear
But you're a king and I'm a lionheart
And in the sea that's painted black,
Creatures lurk below the deck
But you're the king and I'm a lionheart

Sometimes I put autowins, but when I do it's usually about fair, maybe just a tad unfair to their side. Sometimes even a bit unfair to me o-o

I made this art for my husband, pls be nice as I do not typically create

I have sadly gotten to the point where most of them I don't even bother opening. "Maybe Toxic for auction".. pass. "Possibly auctioning my UR Dog"... pass. And when I -do- open them, the autowins are so stupid I want to punish myself for even bothering to read it. *flogs self with wet noodle*

I am totally fine with them being fair, slightly unfair to me... well and naturally when they're slightly unfair to the auctioneer I might jump on it. *laughs* Those kind of things are sadly just so few and far between. A sunjewel for a set of store pets? Or for a grinner? Or for a blue balloon? Seriously? >.< Just so irritating. No wonder those auctions struggle on for months and never go anywhere.

but that's kinda the point of auctions... they normally get overpriced. i would say autowins that are a little bit over the value or equal with the pet being auctioned is perfectly okay. sometimes people are willing to pay though, if they are desperate for a pet (:

And like we said.. a little overpriced is expected.
But when your autowin for a PeaPS is a SunJewel, you probably need to have your head examined. No one is that desperate, I assure you.

wow. that's absolutely CRAZY. sorry, i didn't see you guys write the overpriced bit :P
i've seen loads of extremely outrageous offers, like non tag and moon swirl and sunback + others for a sun jewel O.o
and. and i've seen like 5 commons for a rare, and someone asking for a free pet >.<
i wish people could read rules more carefully :3

1,000% agreed.
Or auctions like "I'm curious what can I get for it". Or people auctioning dreampets...
When I auction sth the auto is a fair swap.

Ugh yes. If you want to know what something is worth, there's a thread for that. And I have never understood the dream pet thing. I had one dream pet. I got it. He is never for trade/auction/giveaway/swap, in particular because he was my -dream- pet.
I love fair swap autos, but I don't mind an overpay if it's not excessive. I expect people to want to profit on an auction more than a trade, and that's okay, but I'm not going to give you something worth 12 times what your auction pet is worth. *laughs* I just think that's crazy.
