He watched them,grinning evilly,his teeth,cracked and stained by blood,glinting in the darkness. Yes,soon he would be able to attack. Oh,he could almost feel the joy of it all! He let out an excited sharp,jagged breath of air into the cool night sky,one that reeked of decay and death. He narrowed his eyes,determined. Yes... soon.

"Hey,guys wait up!" "Ha hah! I got you!" "Awww! No fair,I wasn't looking!" the excited pup's callings rang out into the night. They padded along,battering eachother playfully. One of them cried out in joy,"Look!" and pointed upwards with one paw. Snowflakes were beginning to swirl down lazily.

Pip looked over at his older sister,Niriam. She stared up at the dark night clouds,her eyes shining with wonder. He remembered that she had never seen snow before,as last winter she was cooped up inside with a fever. He frowned,guilt worming in his stomach.

"Hey..." Merry said as they stared up at the sky. "Yeah?" Pip glanced at her. "We should make a special promise... one that only we know of!" she smiled. "That's a great idea! Hey-I know! Since we all get along so well,why don't we make a promise about that?" Niriam suggested. The triplets nodded in agreement. "How about... we'll always be there for each other?" Merry asked. "Sure!" her siblings barked. "Alright! We'll always be a family,forever!"

The next morning,the pups all went to explore on their own. Of course,it wouldn't be long until they would return back home to each other. Merry headed to the forest to collect autumn leaves, Niriam went to explore the hills,and Pip went to an old abandoned mine.

It wasn't long before Merry sensed something was wrong. She sat bolt upright,her body rigid,her nose twitching. Something was definitely wrong. She dropped the leaves she had in her mouth,and dashed off in a hurry,her heart racing in fear.

"W-who are you?!" he gasped,trying to sound brave. "Me?" the creature replied cooly. He was crouched down low on a rock spur jutting out from the wall. "Eheheheh... I am Streaker,luck demon... or so I once was..." Pip backed up against the wall. He didn't like this guy one bit. "What... what are you going to do to me?" he asked. The demon swung his head towards Pip,his gaze boring into the pup. "Me? Oh,can't I just enjoy a good old exploration?" he swung his head back and let out a fierce laugh. Pip flinched,hearing the sneer embedded into it. The demon jumped off the outcropping and walked towards him. Streaker stopped,his face only inches away from this mortal's. "What am I really here for? Well,you see..."

It was a dark,shady night when Comet came to the forest. Shadows seemed to dance on the bushes and trees around her. She shivered as a cold breeze swirled around her. She glanced around nervously. "Anybody there? Hello?"She asked. As soon as she did so, a shadowy figure came into view. She saw a few arrows sticking out of it,and half of it's face was so light that it was easily visable. "Who are you?"She shadowy figure asked roughly. She answered quietly."I'm Comet. Queen of the skies.And you are?" The shadowy figure huffed, "I'm Gloom. King of the shadows." She raised her eyebrows and took a step closer. "Why don't you step out here more,into the moonlight?"

The dark shadow,or Gloom,as he called himself,snorted."Now,why would I do that? I don't want to end up like you!" Comet ghasped,clearly offended. This was not the answer she had been expecting. She snarled. "Get out here or I'll make you!!!" Gloom just snickered. "As if you cou-"And that was all he could say as Comet jumped at him,bit his leg,and dragged him out into the light. She took a step back. "Alright. I made you,now why do you have bows in your fur?"She asked,demanding an answer. He huffed."None of your business!"She rolled her eyes and started to pull them out of his fur with her teeth,and used her paw to wipe off the blood after. "There...all better."There was no reply,he just stared at her. Perhaps,without the constant pain in him,he could think clearly. And when he thought,Comet seemed rather pretty. He cleared his throught and talked in a calm,respectful,and almost kind tone. "Thank you....Comet."Comet smiled and whiped the blood off her paws in the grass. "Why do you wear that mask?"She asked. His reply wa actually quite predictable. "Why do you wear that mask?"She shrugged. "I'll take mine off if you take off yours..."He turned his head and slightly lowered it. "I can't....I'm too...ugly."He said quietly. "Aww,c'mon. I'm sure you're not ugly,now,we'll show eachother on three. One....two...three!"They finished at once,and pulled off their masks. They both ghasped.

Shuffle shuffle shuffle Milky snuck through the kitchen and into the living room where her friend, Caremel lived in a big cage. "Caremel! Caremel!" She whispered and she heard him unlatching his cage. "Caremel, lets make cookies!" The bigger rat grudgingly climbed down the table leg, and gave a big snort as he crossed his arms at the bottom. "Awww, come on Caremel, It'll be so much fun!" With that he came over, muttering something about cookies. The 2 rats raced up to the counter, then quickly squeezed themselves in the fridge. Once they got the things they needed, the 2 began to make the cookies. They took turns pouring the huge boxes that towered above them. Once they had made the dough, the cut out shapes using their small claws for the cleanest, most precise cuts. Once the cookies were in the oven (getting them in the oven was a job that took 30 minutes) they sat on the counter talking. Being a house rat, Milky didn't know what it was like to be loved, so she was envious just a bit of Caremel. Now being a pet rat, Caremel didn't know what it was like to be free, so he was very envious of Milky. When the cookies were finally done, they iced them and decorated them. They then decided that they would switch places for the night, then go back 2 nights after. So 2 days later, there was a shuffle shuffle shuffle in the kitchen. But this time, it was Caremel...

{Mother x Daughter story. c: Setting is in London.}


She stood on the Big Ben. The very top. I had no idea how she got up there, nor did anyone else. "Honey!" I screamed. She must of not heard, how could she? I surveyed the close by places around so I wouldn't leave to far from my daughter. Finally! A police officer! I taped his shoulder. "Umm. Excuse me?"
He whirled around. "Oh, Jenny! What do you need?"
I smiled but there was still worry on my face. "Chris! My daughter."
"Janice? What about her?" I buried my face in one of my hands the other pionted to her figure. A frown crossed his face. "I'll get a patrol right away!"
I nodded and head back. I yelled up to her, "People are coming!"
Soon a tramponline was placed and around other people put matresses around. One of the police officer yelled, "Jump now!"
Janice pondered then jumped.
Most people left as they knew it would take a few minutes. Chris called me over for some hot cocoa. So I went.
A few mintues later there was a small thump. She's safe! I thought, but when I went to embrace her in hugs and kisses...there was only a limp, bloody body on the concrete. Chris had come over and tears filled his eyes.
People had come out and placed flowers arounds Janice mummering prayers.
I held my hand out to Chris, "Can I have a phone?" Soon I felt a object in my hand. I dialed my husbands number so many times I lost count. But every time I only heard a sad tone.
I had to face reality. My family was dead.
