Covered in Bees wrote:European starlings I'm familiar with. They're pretty birds and the murmurations they fly in are mesmerizing, but oh my god they are horrible. Their calls are irritating and they are awful pests that absolutely drain our bird feeders, and they also bully other birds and are a menace to crops. European starlings also happen to be an invasive species here in North America because some nutcase in the 1890s had the brilliant idea to try to introduce to America every species of bird mentioned by Shakespeare. So thanks a lot, Eugene Schieffelin, for unleashing a plague unto our doorsteps. At least the other birds you tried to introduce didn't fare as well.
Yep that's right, but come on everything has a way to live right? xD As I said starlings are just all around brats. Even known to push their own hatchlings from the nests. They can be very pretty though, and they can be quite protective of each other.
They use that screeching sound and will surround a threat to try and scare it off. I've seen them do that before, protecting a young starling hatchling from my cat. I had to go save my cat from their wrath haha

No, no one's come forward with any day 6 eggs. People always panic first and then ask questions later in the trade threads haha

My internet crashed so I have been living an Amish life for the past two day. No phone service either. Plus I'm sick!!! So when everything was back up and running I checked my pets and I am just so happy with the starlings!! I love watching them in Rome....they are so fluid and create this gorgeous poem in the sky....so going to have to get a huge murmur of my own!!!
