Just because there's a winged marking on the blanket doesn't necessarily mean it's going to be a winged pup. I mean, there are all kinds of stuff on that blanket. It could just be a wing marking. Not trying to be a pessimist but, we just need to trust that whatever Maus made it to be is going to be gorgeous<3

I am so excited for the pets this month. 1. because it's my birthday month and 2. Because some of the designs, even if they are just on the blankets, are some of the best ones I have seen on CS. I have a feeling I am going to have at least one absolute favorite from this month

LOL, I think it was all in fun, at least my part was. xD But oh the fun!

In short (if I can do short, lol) we were discussing the possibility of traits being passed on. (Traits being things that are inherited, or passed down, to the children in this case.) It's already been shown that some of the pups look a touch like their grandparents. So, they did pass down some traits since they have things the parent's didn't, but the grandparents did.

Traits are basically either Dominant or Recessive. For dominant traits, they are there, period. For recessive traits, it can only happen if the parent's both have recessive traits, and only then every so often.

So, we were discussing whether or not there -might- be a PPS in the litter. lol...this is getting long, sorry! But...we looked at the grandparents to see if they had any PPS 'genes' or 'traits' in their litters and siblings. None of the ones with siblings did. But, several of the grandparents had no siblings, but came out in the advent calendar in '08.

The two litters with PPS pups in them were also '08 advents with no siblings. So we discussed the possibility of them being related, meaning they all carried the same PPS trait, or possibility.

Umm...does any of that make sense? X3

I saw the wing and was trying to figure out the rest of the blanket in correlation but wasn't pushing myself, I know you guys always throw things at us willy nilly. ^-^

On the checkered pup....I'm intrigued and my kids thought they were awesome. Then they ran off to smash race cars and sing the speed racer theme song. *laughs softly*

I'm actually most looking forward at the moment (based on just flat out infant stage) the Moonflight butterfly litter.
