the fact that my mom decided to take up the 12 grape tradition an hour before the 12 grape caterpillars arrived will never not be funny 😅

also istg if there's a PPS of these lions I'm gonna cry, they're black + white,,, if they were any other colors I wouldn't search for 'em 😭

Yeah I am colorblind I cant really tell the difference unfortunately! The first one I can sort of see it? But not on the last two

Yeah, it wasn't the smartest decision on their part. I can hardly tell the difference on the last two and I'm not colorblind. Let me check your stuff and see if I can help you out.

I agree on this! I don't even think the caterpillars have diff outcomes at first and have to strain my eyes to identify them...

Yes, there are three different caterpillars.



The last two are really hard to tell, one is just a brighter version of the other.

Okay, so you have two of them. Thankfully it's the two that are the hardest to see the difference. All of yours but one is the dull color and this one is the bright-

Maybe if the grape placement or patterns where different? They're super cute regardless, though

Heading into 2025 as I fight covid, getting new caterpillars and lions cheered me up! I can't join in with my usual new year traditions, so I've been trying to stay busy with games/tv in quarantine.

12 grape tradition? never heard of that. but I guess it's time to google it and acquire some random knowledge ... Really love the caterpillar's design, they look so cute holdin' the grapes <3

It's definitely an eyestrain to see the difference! They should have changed one of the colors more. Not complaining at all, they're still really pretty, but since I live with someone with colorblindness I can see how much of an issue it would cause for a lot of people.

so i get the little porkies with all their good luck charms,

and the caterpillars have twelve grapes.

but i'm not familiar with any rat/matchbox new year's tradition, does anyone know?

Can you clue us in because I am so confused as to why we have St. Patty's themed pigs and caterpillars.

The piggies seem to be all based on common (at least where i live) new years good luck charms: pigs, ladybugs, four leafed clovers, coins and chimney sweeper (:
