i'm hesitant because my lists aren't necessarily bad demand and the patchwork is a dreamie but, how fair is this?

Personally this looks great to me, both of these have nice demand and I think the warrior was released on 2008 anyways, in fact they might be slightly overpaying but might want another opinion

They've only turned VR not so long ago, so no they're not on the ex/discontinued-list or Horror's condensed rarity list.
I actually remember when both were just rares aha - . . . Unless you're going by months(which would make this a beneficial swap to you due to your pet being a late VR, and theirs being an early- but i don't see many people using specific months aha), it's really up to you which pet you want !

Quite unfair to them! Their items are from the candy 2015 & 2016 space event , whilst your Shiba is from Halloween 2018, and Santa hat from Christmas 2019 (Not including the other items since theyre free to get in the store).

I'd say it's only slightly unfair to you.
Your side is worth an early 2010 rare. Their dog is a late 2010 rare. It depends on whether you think the fennec fox makes up the difference. Usually, it takes about an uncommon, sometimes two from the same year (in this case 2010) or so to make up a gap like this one. The fox is worth about a 2015 uncommon.
You could replace the fox with a 2012 rare or 2010 uncommon to make it more fair.
