I think date-related pet hoard records may be interesting, I have seen people hoarding pets adopted on a certain day and year. And to check you would only need to check the first and last pets in the hoard (would have to be same year). So you could do Single Variation, blanket, species, pets in general or by rarity.

is there a category for hoarding the outcomes of a "special release" litter?
I actually have a hoard of 4 specific pets that were released together from a rather recent "advent" drop... the 22nd of December specifically

Special release litter? The only special releases are URs and zebras. The advent calendar is treated like the other events.
