I'm confused. Why are pets released on December 18 so special?

Because all/most of (last Christmas you got the three rare+ pets and also a tree!) the pets from the event calendar on the 18th are rares+ from any year (I believe) except for store pets all rares, very rares, OMG so rares and even list pets can be adopted on the 18th. Also there are UR pets which are only from the box that gives you your rares and since most people just get random past rares then they normally are very rare or OMG so rare

I can't see most of the old versions of the pets because something about "3rd party hosting" on Photobucket, which you need to purchase oh well

Yikes! Thank you for pointing that out. I should have most, if not all, of the images saved to my computer, so I'll see what I can do when I get home this evening.
