Grrr, this certainly won't top the Zebra...but still this ticked me off....

I looked to see if they had anything else/ better and they don't even have pets past a few months back *head desk*

Mine's more of an art trade than anything...

I make custom pets- I made the little limp of coal in my signature. Well, someone ordered a colorful candy cane- which, for me, is custom lineart. Easy enough.

Got it done, added a smiley face and elf hat because it was in the order. Payment negotiation time.

Well, the few Advents I was interested in (I didn't go straight for the rares)- the pink swirl, the ornament newborn (still uncommon as far as I'm concerned until it's marked) or the Second Gen with the large candy cane.

It was edited, and there was a saddle. "Can you pick something else?"

Fine. I chose a purple Malk horse, sent it back.

"Okay. You can have this one." It was edited into the Palomino- which I already have, thankyouverymuch.

Cancelled, told them not to waste my time.

I might be a bit harsh, but it's freaking art. I'm not getting any monetary return out of it, I might as well get something I don't have. Sheesh.

Is there a way to report trades?
Because honestly, canceling my offer to exchange a reindeer for a reindeer with the message, "NO! I don't want reindeer you stupid f---k!!" really ticks me off.

Is there a way to report trades?
Because honestly, canceling my offer to exchange a reindeer for a reindeer with the message, "NO! I don't want reindeer you stupid f---k!!" really ticks me off.

There isn't a specific "report this trade" function, but you can certainly contact one of the staff to report a user who is being rude and abusive.

And as far as art trades go.. uh... that's why you're supposed to negotiate the price before you make the art.

Although for my latest art trade, I agreed on a payment before the person told me what they wanted. And it is a REALLY complicated custom, and I'm a bit annoyed at how low the payment is considering what I know other people get paid for their art :\

I don't know if you've seen it before or not, but it's a good spot for aggrieved artists to share their woes. ^^

I am so sick of never getting any of the pets I want from certain adoption centers. Pretty much any of the ones where it's like "don't send a trade, post here with the pet you want" means that about 90% of the time, the person will never send the pet. It just pisses me off. If you don't have time/can't be bothered to check the adoption center thread and send out the pets that people request, then you shouldn't be a member of the adoption center.

Sure, shoot me for grouching about people who are "doing a nice thing" by giving their pets away, but since they are NOT actually ever giving them to people, they're just doing a disservice by being dishonest and making me CRANKY, and then I'm a cranky lion wreaking havoc all over the forum, and that is not a "nice thing" for anyone.

I agree. The ones that really annoy me are the "quitting" threads or the "contest" threads that are never resolved. Someone posts saying they're giving their pets away (or certain pets from a certain group). Many, many people post asking for them or doing whatever the contest requires (including sometimes submitting creative stuff that took real effort on the part of the posting users). Then nothing happens. Months later you see it near the top of your "view your posts" section. Someone has resurrected the thread by posting on it the same as others had 3 months earlier (or some amount of months anyway) so you decide to check it out. You look at the person's collection who started the thread and see that not one pet is missing. Not a single pet was ever given out. It's really obvious on threads where people post the image of the pet they want because all of the images, even on the first few pages out of 50 some pages or more, still say the original owner's name. So obviously the person did not ever follow through. Of course this doesn't happen every time, but it's annoying when it does. If you're going to offer free pets you should really go through with it. Backing out, either because you're lazy or because you changed your mind, is pretty rude. At least tell the people though if that's the case so no one else wastes time posting in your thread.

*As a note I haven't had this happen to me recently but there are a few threads (at least) still out there and unresolved (I have no doubt) that this applies to.
