Hey everyone! Iโm back. Ready for a Desmond reboot? I hope I am. Here goes nothing (again)
Desmond, I said I wasnโt going to guess again, but that was last night. Tonight with the clock ticking, and how quiet it is out here in left field, I decided to give it another try. This time I actually backtracked all the way back to the hints chart and remembered you said that you thought we would guess right away, and you posted the โI was wrongโ clip. So I looked closely at the first hint and realized that this hint had the clues we really needed to solve this, and that the pin was relevant, too.
A side note - While I was typing up my guess in discord for Desmond, and since I was going back and forth from the hints chart to discord, I mistakenly started typing my guess for Beurnouli down instead, That confused me so much because what I started to think and what I was typing didnโt make any sense anymore. Thankfully Lumi came to the rescue and let me know. Whew! One less tangent and trip to left field for me. But I was also told that the pin was most likely a joke since that is what staffers do. So I second guessed my train of thought, which was probably a good thing because I think I was digging myself into a hole again.Hint 1, page 270 -

Good luck.
As well as his invisible text - โYou did figure out the meaning of that message, though. C: But how it pertains to my outcome is a mystery. Possibly, even to me."
His response included these hints:
1. โI'm sorry if this leaves you guys stranded in the Atlantic (or, for that matter, sinks anyone's ships)โ
The Titanic hit an iceberg in the Atlantic, which left it stranded at sea and sunk it. This could happen to any ship that hits an iceberg.
2. โ... my CQD SOS group is legitimately not a clue at all, but a token of my interest in the Titanic.โ He never said the Titanic was not a legitimate clue.
3, That is not to say that all Morse messages from me should be discarded as irrelevant, however.

Particular adj - Insisting that something should be correct or suitable in every detail; fastidious.
The following exchange happened between Desmond and Dia.
Desmond: O GE OB D
Dia.: D BCNU SN O
Desmond: O OK GL OB D
Dia.: D BTU OC O
Since the Morse code shouldnโt be seen as irrelevant, it needs to be looked at. Weโve tried to unscramble it, but it doesnโt need to be unscrambled, but translated, and maybe not this exchange, but the Titanicโs exchange. In that message there were mentions of hitting the iceberg and that they were sinking. Coordinates were sent out (directions) and there was a lot of confusion between ships. Or, more likely, it could just be a reference back to the Titanic since we all abandoned ship and started looking elsewhere for clues, but thatโs too simple and I have yet to try to keep it simple.
Now moving on - this last hint on the chart threw me off and sent me on a tangent way out in left field.

https://www.chickensmoothie.com/Forum/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=3902056&start=3530#p121041470Desmond put a link to Shobits' post about a pet named Mr. Miles in one of Desmond's groups and answers โHe'll get you just about there. Right universe, at any rate.

โ
My guess is this is actually a reference to a maritime pilot, also known as a marine pilot, harbor pilot or bar pilot and sometimes simply a pilot, which is a sailor who maneuvers ships through dangerous or congested waters. Robert Hichens was at the shipโs wheel when the Titanic hit the iceberg and not the captain. So the maritime pilot, or just pilot, can get you just about there. This was once again, a reference back to the Titanic and also hitting the iceberg.
And I should have known this because my dad was in the Navy. He would be so ashamed of me.And tonight Desmond pinned this in discord. It was something Shobits said โor is it...the tip of the iceberg?โ
The Titanic did not hit the whole iceberg, just the tip.
So with all that being said, I narrowed it down to these 2 pups.

The first pup has that question mark and I kept thinking it was the correct one because Desmond said โBut how it pertains to my outcome is a mysteryโ and I also was mistakenly looking at Bernouliโs clues and one of the clue was a blue pup.
When I saw Bernouliโs hint about floppy ears I thought how could I be so wrong?!?! Again, thank you Lumi! The second pup is now the one I think is actually your pup. The back edit looks crystalline, like ice. Icebergs look white with some blue in it (the eyes have some blue in it). And if this is an ice(berg) pup, it would fit all the clues from the first post.
And though I may be wrong, I hope that maybe this time I found a lost clue??Hey, I got out of left field to visit the Atlantic. But now Iโm stranded on this iceberg way out at sea. Can someone send me a boat? Anyone?... I really shouldnโt work on these so late at night when everyone is sleeping...
==================
Oh, and Bernouli - I think this is your pup
Considering it is the only unclaimed pup left with floppy ears, has an unedited tail, we canโt see its eyes so they can be any color, and when it grows up it may be blue, or more blue, but doesnโt necessarily have to be blue now since you specificially said dog and not pup, So I really think this is your pup. I would say more, but itโs almost 2am. Good night! ๐ค

Unless, of course, the ears are not floppy yet, and will be as an adult since you referenced your outcome and not necessarily your pup?
Staff would never trick us like that, now would they... or we cant see the ears right now.
On page 35 you said โI think you guys are really grabbing at straws with these hints and yet I posted once on this thread and nobody has run with that? I am disappointed. โ. I think this is what you were referring to - the page 3 post needs to be revisited. I think we missed something relevant here.

Ooh Iโd love to see a cherry blossom pup!
:3c

Maybe this one - Its not all blue but that could change. The pink clouds look like cherry blossoms ๐ธ because theyโre pink. The ears could change. Itโs not food related. It has an unedited tail and the eye color is pink and not blue, green, o purple.
Am I following the wrong path again...
