Mmhmm, I know I'm more likely to bid if there's an end date, or at least a guaranteed promise of an end date in sight.

And thanks for the compliment on my ideas! I try to help, not just complain. *winks* ((Just to confirm, no, not saying anything about anyone here. So please, don't take it as a stab to you or anyone else here. This is a place where we can come and vent with no repercussions. I just though since there are so many complaints, I might offer some insight to what's worked for me holding my own auctions. But no, not insulting anyone by that previous sentence. ^.^))

What goes on my nerves is when you enter a auction and don't hear back from the holder forever, then suddenly the auction is closed and you never heard a word if you won or something, they could at least send a pm. Letting people sit in the dark is acutally not nice, especially when they are holding pets back for the auction.

Gah, good that I was reminded again why I don't usually enter into auctions.

I change the title that it's finished and I change the 1st post and write that I got no good offers. When you participate in an auction it's good to bookmark it to know what is happening there

D:< And I'm just sitting here, too lazy to say anything.... My, my; I'm a terrible person. *head drops into hands*

What annoys me about auctions, is when people keep spamming when the auction holder has already asked them to stop in a nice way. This was a while ago, but it annoyed me so much D:

Not actually a rant as I'm not angry just confused. But it does have to do with auctions so I guess this goes here. Is there a name for it when you're bidding in an auction and someone else sends you a trade offering the same pet you're bidding on asking for the pets you were bidding in the auction? I've just been sent a trade sorta like that. They're actually asking for slightly less than I'm bidding in the auction though. I'd take it but it just feels morally wrong. I bid those pets in an auction and I don't feel right about trading the majority of them away after I've made a promise. That's what I feel an auction bid is, a promise or a contract sorta. I dunno... what do you do in a situation like this.

I'd take it.

There is no guarantee that the Auction holder will accept your bid, ether. I'd go with the sure-fire deal. You know what you're getting and when you're getting it.

I don't feel like I have any promise with auction holder, it's buisiness after all, and that's the way I treat it. better offer comes along I have no qualms with breaking previous engagements; I don't owe them anything.

But that's just me.
