Maybe a good solution to this would be simply taking out the chance of getting anything under a rare in value? This is a really interesting conversation, with a good point. Perhaps if you only had a chance of getting a Rare, Very Rare, or OMG So Rare, from at least a year before, it could help circulate more of the hard-to-get pets, while at the same time not taking up more space on the site for more common pets that are much less desired in the first place. I'm sure there's a flaw to that idea, but it seems nice in my head.[/quote]

Well, technically, there is no objective to CS. If the point of the game was to get a complete collection, then I'm sure the admins would have worked it so that it was possible, but that's not the point of the game.
And you have to keep in mind that people who have gotten good on-site pets from the boxes may not want to share that fact, in case they get overrun by trade offers.

Okay, then let me re-phrase that. The goals of many CS members is to get a complete collection.
I did consider that, but even by scanning through random members' pets to see what they got comes up with no valuable pets. The majority of the valuable pets I've seen, I've found off this thread.

yep, I know mine is..I've been trading, saving and trolling the adoptions expecting to put in a good deal of hours this weekend trading and come very close to completion but didn't even go down a page...not trying to complain..just tired, frustrated and feeling a bit deflated

Me too. I was trying to trade all day yesterday and I've been again trying this morning. It's just so time consuming and the decrease in value of the pets released this year is really showing.

Okay, but if everyone got at least a rare, wouldn't that decrease the value even more? And make the 18th less special? If everyone gets a rare or higher, what's the fun and shock in that? There isn't any. Plus, if everyone got a rare or higher, rarities would drastically change, considering, 200,000 members now have an extra rare/VR/OMGSR.

It has its flaws and would probably never happen, but what we're saying is: It would be nice.

I agree, this 18th definitely felt a lot duller than in the past. I have been on CS pretty much for 27 straight hours (except the 5 I took to sleep xD), have looked through tons of pets, and (outside of what is posted on this thread) have only seen 5 Moondogs, 1 Sundog, 1 UR Tiger dog, 2 09' UR dogs, 4 UR Lions, 2 UR Cucumbers, and 1 White July. I have yet to see a Coon Puppy. From what I remember last year those Julys and URs were a lot easier to find than that. I'm not quite sure what happened this year but it certainly was not what I had expected and looked forward to.

On the other hand the 2 new URs that we did get are wonderful and it's cool that some users were fortunate enough to get what they wanted from the 18th.

I think the Toxic is the most common, because it has the most outcomes ^^ The toxics wrre never 'super rare' so i think its kinda normal for the toxics to be this common. But were deffinitely lacking coons.
