What are these guys even supposed to be? They gained more and more white as they grew, but why? Why that sun and tree blanket?
There's something about them that I'm not getting xD

They remind me a lot of those woodworms that eat 'tunnels' like that under the tree's skin..

I could be it because maybe the blanket was a typical nature scene but when you look closer, more interesting stuff is happening. I curious on why the artist had the dogs face as neutral though. Maybe because there are both good and bad things in nature? I'm probably reading into this to much.
